August Beach House ligt aan de ongerepte witte kust van Sri Lanka, direct aan het strand in Weligama Bay, en is een opmerkelijk vakantieoord met vier ensuite slaapkamers, een privézwembad, en het belangrijkste, directe toegang tot het strand. Ontworpen met een mix van unieke traditionele interieurs en eigentijdse accenten, August Beach House is een luxe villa met prachtige witte interieurs, kwaliteit inrichting, traditionele patronen, en hints van kleuren.
Het zachte zand van het strand en de Indische Oceaan ligt direct achter het witte pikethek dat de villa begrenst. Boven heeft u een groot terras om buiten te eten tegen de meest weelderige achtergrond met de oceaan.
Het strandhuis beschikt over vier privé-slaapkamers met 3 kingsize bedden en 3 eenpersoonsbedden. De kamers zijn licht en zonnig, ruim en comfortabel. Hemelbedden met zachte witte baldakijnen zijn een opvallende toevoeging aan de kamers. Er zijn grote ramen met uitzicht op het absoluut prachtige uitzicht met het strand, de tuin en het zwembad. Elke kamer heeft een eigen badkamer met moderne voorzieningen zoals een bad en/of douche. De kamers zijn voorzien van airconditioning en u krijgt flessen water, fruit en bloemen om u te verwelkomen.

August Beach House ligt aan het strand en heeft een directe toegang tot het strand in de achtertuin, of u kunt achterblijven en genieten van een plons in uw privézwembad. U kunt gewoon naar het strand lopen, luieren op het zand, zwemmen in de zee, en genieten van een heerlijke, ononderbroken dag met geliefden. De witte piketomheining geeft een vertrouwd gevoel, want als u terugkomt, bent u thuis. Het terras en de tuin zijn volledig ingericht met al fresco zit- en eethoekjes zodat u optimaal van het buitenleven kunt genieten. De kinderen kunnen onbezorgd rondrennen terwijl u ontspant op de zandstranden.
Het interieur van August Beach House is geïnspireerd op de bestemming, met witgekalkte muren, rustieke, betegelde vloeren, aardewerk in verzonken planken, jute kroonluchters, en nog veel meer. De woonkamer heeft glazen deuren die het spectaculaire tuin- en strandzicht onthullen met de palmbomen dansend in de wind. Het is een echt ontspannende en begeerde ruimte waar u uren kunt doorbrengen met lezen, tijd doorbrengen met uw dierbaren en ontspannen. Comfortabele banken en fauteuils, de woonkamer heeft alles wat u nodig heeft van een familie kamer.
Een tropisch ontbijt wordt dagelijks geserveerd, zodat u uw ochtenden kunt beginnen met een heerlijke en vullende maaltijd. De moderne keuken staat tot uw beschikking voor als u trek heeft of een kopje koffie wilt. Het is volledig uitgerust en heeft alle moderne apparatuur. De eethoek is mooi met bankjes en een brede, houten eettafel. Hij staat bij de glazen deuren, zodat u ze open kunt laten staan voor frisse lucht en een ononderbroken uitzicht.
De locatie is idyllisch en de service is uitzonderlijk met voorzieningen van wereldklasse. Bij August Beach House heeft u toegang tot een van de beste stranden van Sri Lanka. U kunt gaan surfen met de hulp van een surfinstructeur. U hebt ook een zwembad aan het strand. Enkele van de andere ervaringen die u kunt opdoen zijn kooklessen om te leren hoe u authentieke Sri Lankaanse gerechten kunt bereiden. Hiervoor worden extra kosten in rekening gebracht.
Weligama Bay is een van de populairste surfgebieden in Sri Lanka met uitstekende surfbreuken het hele jaar door. U kunt gemakkelijk een surfplank huren en kiezen voor surflessen in de buurt van August Beach House en de golven raken als een pro. De villa biedt voor elk type reiziger wat wils, of u nu wilt ontspannen in de tuin, een strandwandeling wilt maken of aan watersport wilt doen.
10/10Great place. Right on the beach with a gate that provides complete privacy. Even with the direct proximity to the beach you feel safe and the entire resort has a great chill vibe about it. The waves are great for fun, body and surf boarding and as our close friends said “they just keep coming, it’s relentless fun” and the cool pool has a perfect temperature to plunge into after the sea. Lots of little cafes, bars, restaurants, surf schools and shops all outside the front door. The supermarket is a 10-15 minute walk or a short tuk tuk ride, selection isn’t that good and was about the only negative side of what was a very successful and relaxing week for Mums and Dads, whilst the teenagers were kept happy with the sea, pool and of course, a bit of internet time!! Lastly, the house team were always helpful and obliging to assist and guide. Thank you to them and the evening guard who keeps you safe after a hard day in the sun. We will be back…..
10/10Myself and my family spent five nights in August Beach House. It was the perfect place to chill out for a few days with everyone and surf. The house is right on the beach and the back garden gate opens onto the beach where there there are plentiful surf rental shacks and surf lessons to be had. The house benefits from a large shaded private garden and lots of communal space inside. Each bedroom has AC and an en-suite. There is also a private pool which was great for the kids and to cool down from the mid afternoon heat. Weligama is a good beginner location for surfing and I imagine there are more advanced surfing locations nearby and lots of bars and restaurants on the main strip although we tended to go to the same one or two places. Special mention to the August Beach House staff who made breakfast and did laundry, we did not want them to clean our bedrooms each day but they offered to do so! All round perfect house for chilling out and surfing on your doorstep.

10/10This is the second time me and my family have stayed at August Beach House. You can’t beat it, everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We are already looking forward to returning in the near future. All the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. We can’t thank them enough, and Michelle for being a consistently fantastic host !
10/10Michelle’s place was in the perfect location for me and my family. So easy with children as you can go back and forth to beach and nice to have the pool as well. It felt really private with the trees around. The surf spot right in front of the house and boards to rent next door. Great places to eat just steps away. The house staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was lovely.
10/10I have stayed at the villa Augusta Beach House with My husband and 2 teenage boys (13&15). The villa has very nice houskeeping ladies and outside manager. You don't see them during the day. Also you feel very safe. They can help you with any question ( dinner, grosaries, some wine, tuktuk, etc.). The layout of the villa is lovely, each bedroom is en-suit, and there is a comfortable living Room on the 2nd floor with a huge balcony. The Best thing is the location. The villa is totaly on the beach, but at the same time - hidden between the greenery, so noone can see you. All the surfing schools are next door. The restaurants and bars - as well. Grosary and wine shops - a short drive by tuk tuk. But after swimming in the sea, surfing and walking by the ocean - you feel so happy and grateful to enter your villa oasis and relax in the pool. I do travel a lot with my family to different countries, and this is one of the Best villas i've stayed at. I would definitely recommend this villa to My friends.
10/10August Beach House is a slice of Paradise! If you are coming to Weligama with a big group just book it! The house is even better than the photos (hard to believe till you get here) both the indoor and outdoor spaces are homely and well decorated. The house is on the beach, two steps through the gate and you are in the sea. You are surrounded by great bars and restaurants if you want to eat out. But what makes this stay so magical is the incredible team that look after you whilst you stay. Neeta, Tharanga and Sorriya are simply amazing. Breakfast was delicious every morning and Neeta’s prawn curry is sensational. Sorriya also cooked an amazing seafood BBQ. They keep the house and garden immaculate helping you with any thing you need - including stocking the fridge! We had the most amazing 5 days at August Beach House - thanks to Michelle and the team!
10/10We had a lovely time at Michelle's place! We were 5 people visiting Welligama for the first time, and it was the perfect place to stay. It's much more beautiful in reality than the photos. Super clean, very nicely decorated, and the rooms are spacious. The pool was definitely a highlight, and you can walk right out of the backyard door to the beach! We spent fun days and relaxing nights at the villa, it was truly amazing. The staff were always available to help us with laundry, cleaning, and even groceries. Souriya prepared us fresh coconuts, and Neeta cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning. At night there was a security guard which gave us peace of mind. Overall would definitely recommend this for a group of friends looking to have a relaxing holiday by the beach
