Cloisters Villa is a wonderful 4-bedroom beachfront villa with a private swimming pool and gorgeous mature tropical gardens. It is strategically located close to Galle in the south of Sri Lanka and it’s difficult to beat Cloisters Villa's location as the villa is adjacent to Galle and several of the major tourist destinations in the nation, including the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby, there are numerous casual eateries that serve the tastiest Sri Lankan cuisine.
If you’re coming in with a large party that requires bigger accommodation, the neighboring Sielen Diva Villa can be rented separately or together to accommodate up to 24 people.

Four luxurious bedrooms of the Cloisters Villa are spread across two-storey, three King-sized bedrooms and a spacious children’s bedroom.
On the ground floor, you will find a master bedroom, which has access to a wraparound terrace and a yoga pavilion. The expansive terrace is a lovely place to unwind with a book, take in the sounds of the surf, or simply enjoy the moonlight on the water. Directly adjacent to the master bedroom is the children's room. Aside from the pool and gardens, the main bedroom also features breath-taking views of the ocean.
Both of the first floor's two king six-foot four-poster bedrooms, which are next to the pool, feature magnificent terraces. Adjacent to the bathroom are tastefully made outdoor showers with white terrazzo flooring. Giant chess and draft boards are in each room. For further versatility, one of these bedrooms can be divided into two separate beds. With spacious wardrobes, dressing tables, safes, air conditioning, and mosquito nets, each bedroom is extremely opulent.
When you walk into Cloister Villa, serenity and tranquility immediately overtake you. A number of historic pieces of furniture and fine artwork that the villa owner collected throughout her travels around the world make up the stunning décor. It offers the ideal fusion of luxury and art.
Over three-quarters of an acre is dedicated to the tropical gardens at the Villa. The exquisitely landscaped grounds produce a haven of serenity and delightful repose. A magnificent 50-foot swimming pool that descends to the ocean is located among the verdant grounds. Along with a sizable fishpond and an old walkway lined with coconut trees, the Villa leads all the way down to the azure sea beyond.
On the first level, there is a modern kitchen and a sizable, comfortable drawing room as well. It has a complete cooling system. A compact kitchen with a two-burner induction stovetop, sink, small fridge, and wine fridge is also located on the first level. The first floor has a separate entrance and is entirely contained.
It is very striking to see the stunning gated entrance to the Villa, which has a sizable indoor fish pond as its main point. The open-concept living and dining space may be reached straight from the door. The sitting area, which has sofas and armchairs, is really cozy and comfy. This room then has a door that opens directly into the garden area and pool pavilion.
Although Sri Lanka is well known for many things, its warm, friendly, and tranquil citizens are among its most attractive features. Visitors frequently remark on how lovely the staff at the Cloisters Villa is, especially how good they are with kids. This warmth and friendliness is really remarkable.
Mihiripenna Beach, which is the name of the beach in front of the Cloisters Villa, is a largely private beach. The home is just in front of a stunning rock outcrop on the beach, which is naturally lovely. Directly in front of the property is a magnificent rock pool, which is ideal for swimming around during high tide. There is a great sandy section along the beach for serious swimming that is 100 meters long and suitable for strong swimmers. You can reach a wonderful swimming spot with calm waters that are protected by the reef in one kilometer.
10/10We spent 1 week at Cloisters with 2 families and 5 kids and had an absolute amazing time. One of the best family trips we've had. The location was perfect and the house was more than we could have imagined. We felt at peace, at home and our kids loved the access to the beach, the central pool and all the cool odds and ends around the house. And most of all the service was top notch. Joseph, Yoga and Nehru were the best. So attentive, caring and supportive in arranging all our logistics. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. And the food they cooked for us was out of this world, from the hoppers for breakfast to the fish curry and dhal for dinner, it was more than we could have imagined. I highly recommend Cloisters for any family looking to have an amazing holiday in Sri Lanka. I can't wait to return!
10/10We had the most incredible stay at Pamela’s beautiful seafront property! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality from the incredible staff. The home itself is a perfect blend of comfort and style, with so many thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. Our highlight, of course, was the stunning pool that overlooked the ocean. Whether we were swimming or simply lounging by the water, it was the perfect place to relax and take in the breathtaking views. We also loved the peaceful atmosphere and the gentle sound of the waves—it felt like our own private paradise. This property truly exceeded all expectations. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious getaway by the sea! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

10/10Cloisters is a special experience. The location right on the beach with access to a sandy cove and tide pools for small children to play safely makes for constant entertainment and the most stunning view. The staff here go out of their way to attend to your every need and request. They make delicious food and assist with making plans for local trips as well. The house is maintained beautifully and styled with taste and fitting the environment. We had plenty of space for our entire family. We have stayed at many places in the Galle area over the years and this is one of the best. We would come back here again and again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
