Ellies House

I had the pleasure to stay at Ellies House for a couple of nights end of May. The location set in the middle of a cinnamon plantation during the harvest period, and at another time, was the place to be. I was greeted with a king coconut by Silvia and Damith in the spacious open doors Living Room facing a splendid Garden. The villa with a private stunning Roof Terrace respect modern architecture and the local craftmanship in a perfect mix. The garden with swimming pool and great views is cosy, privat and relaxing. The food i had was to die for, delicious all the ingredients grown and sourced locally. The beaches close to Ellies House are some of the most stunning beaches of Sri Lanka. I did regret to stay only a couple of days and plan to go back for a longer relaxing period.

The pictures don't do this place justice. The pictures are fantastic, but the actual location is amazing. What you also don't get a feeling for in the pictures is the amount of natural wildlife around. Peacocks, Monkeys, several Birds in all colours, Chipmunks, ...all around. The home's ground dogs are also super friendly. Ellies House is really a sanctuary. A Hideaway, where we enjoy the serene surroundings and rejuvenate and relax. Peaceful place ...don't want to leave.

We experience best Ayurveda treatments in the total privacy of our own luxurious Villa. A true Wellness Escape in amazing nature. Quiet romantic and so indcredibly luxurious the spa treatments are out of this world. Service and medical care are top. The outdoor yoga on the rooftop terrace added harmony to our trip and allowing us to connect with the nature.

The Villa itself is stunning, with the living area at the heart of the house. The beds are extremely comfortable and everything is super clean. The pool is stunning, also the Massage Pavilion near by. Here we experience some great Ayurveda Treatments. Pure bliss!! The staff are so friendly, polite and welcoming. All requests for the free tuk-tuk shuttle to the beach and next town are handled very efficiently.

The property was wonderful designed and comfortable. We felt right at home and the views into the magnificent landscape are unforgettable. Everyday we watched the sunset on the beautiful Rooftop Terrace and enjoy some drinks. Exceptional meals cooked according to our orders. The Villa is breathtaking , offering all the luxury you expect from a five-star Hotel, but with complete privacy. A MAGIC PLACE
