we spent 5 days in this accommodation. and liked something very much, because it is not purely tourist but also a residential area. the view directly on the beach and the fishing boats were wonderful. every day fresh Sri Lankan breakfast was brought (which was also sufficient for lunch) and briefly cleaned. they were very friendly and helpful. we can definitely recommend it.

We felt very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty. The location is quiet, but with the scooter you can quickly reach restaurants, supermarkets. Communication was via Messenger and was perfect!

We stayed an extra day and still didn’t want to leave. My favourite place in Sri Lanka , unspoilt enough to feel immersed in the local area but plenty to do and see, the local people were welcoming and to step out of the back gate on to the beach was paradise. Hosts were helpful and breakfast was huge and delicious. Please never sell out to the tourism storm on its way.

We were received very kindly by Kasthuri. We stayed 3 nights in this great house. If you like us, away from the tourists, feel comfortable in the middle of the locals and the fishermen, this is the place to be. For us, it was beautiful, relaxing days. We can recommend this fisherman's house 100%.

Superhosts Janah and Kian couple's place is always the best. When you come to Trincomalee, you will always stay at their place. This is one of their homes adjacent to it. Since we remodeled the fisherman's house right in front of the Dutch Bay beach, it has a mix of local and Western style just like the pictures. Always welcoming you with a nice smile, Kasthuri is the best manager who always accommodates the needs of his guests. Clean bedroom, bathroom and the door gives you direct access to the beach, so this is a very suitable place for a couple to come and relax. Lie on a sun bed under the shade of a tree and feel the sky, waves, and breeze. With a strong espresso scent... it's a paradise where all desires and worries disappear. It's close to a wealth of local information and nearby restaurants. It keeps the accommodation clean every day, and you can cook with a delicious breakfast (you can choose from Lanka-style and Western food) and well-equipped kitchen utensils, which increases the satisfaction of travelers. Every morning, locals clean the beach, and the early morning fishermen come back is another Sri Lanka experience. Respond to the bright smiles of the people you meet in the alley. The joy of traveling will be added. If you choose, I highly recommend it as the best place to stay in Trincomalee where happiness will come.

One of our favourite accomodations while travelling Sri Lanka. The location was perfect; right on the beach, centrally located and easily accessible. Our host, Kasthuri, was lovely.

We had nice time at this little seaside cottage, located in a cute little bay outside the main Trinco beaches. The accommodation is pretty rustic for the price we paid (off-season too) but mirrors our experience in other towns in the north of Sri Lanka. The hosts were very helpful with local recommendations but were pretty hands off during the whole time, leaving us in the care of the housekeeper Kasthuri and tuk tuk driver Arshath, who were the real stars of the show! One thing of note is that the bedroom is quite stuffy as it has no windows and there is no natural ventilation as the windows have been sealed off in the house. Consequently, we slept with both the front door windows and back door open to ventilate the room, which brought in the menagerie of street noises every evening ;)

We are so happy we chose this villa. It was so comfortable and we felt at home. Stunning location truly right on the beach. The local recommendations were so helpful. Dutch Bay was so beautiful we didn’t even move out the area to explore. Be sure to book your transport to the villa before you arrive with the recommendation provided by the host to avoid being horribly ripped off by the official at the airport who quoted us five times the going rate.
