10/10Totally unpretentious, real 5 star, secluded, incredible location just 35 steps through the private gate down to the beach for surfing. a fresh pot of tea waiting outside your room in the morning, staggering quality and variety of food and a small team for whom service means everything. We were 6 adults and took the entire property for two weeks - lucky us ! Lester ( and Natasha @ The Haritha Collection ) are an amazing team and do a first class job - want to know where to buy gems in Galle, train times, where to buy a string-hopper maker, need a tuk-tuk, where to buy Batik in Matara, where to find the best selection of wines in Matara, where to get an irritating eye infection fixed quickly, what to eat etc........ The 3 Sisters team know everything & fix everything for YOU. Book early - the 3 Sisters is deservedly in demand. If you were not aware, The Haritha Collection comprises 4 prestige properties owned and run by the same family and as a result it genuinely feels like a very personal, family-run operation. Truly excellent.
10/10Outstanding Service, spacious family room, most beautiful view, much attention to detail, amazing food menu, the breakfast and bbq are scrumptious, the caretakers go out of their way to please, while respecting privacy. This elegant and beautifully decorated bungalow is extremely peaceful for a family or group of friends, the pool and beach are amazing and very private. We love coming back regularly for intense relaxation.
10/10What a wonderful place to unplug, forget about everything going on outside and relax in the great care of Lester and his team. With my husband and our two children we took the enormous loft suite, with it's incredible ocean views and had 6 days of glorious calm. The swimming pool was a complete hit with all of us, as were walks on the beach through the "secret" door. We were very spoiled with wonderful and varied food, with nothing too much trouble. The adults enjoyed Sri Lankan curries and our children were well taken care of with pasta, chicken, fruits & veggies and plenty of ice cream.
10/10This was our second visit to 3 sisters in Matara, Lester and his team were there to greet us and nothing was too much for him to arrange for us. Its a lovely family location with a fabulous stretch of beach. Lesters cooking is amazing and we ate far too much food but most importantly we rested and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Already planning our 3rd visit!
10/10We spent 3 idyllic days and 2 nights with our two boys aged 10 and 6 1/2. The beach house is family friendly, quiet, off the beaten track, yet close enough to be at the more populated places in fewer than 20 minutes. We couldn't have asked for a better place, the view of the sea and beach from the top of a cliff gave us absolute privacy and wonderful views. The beach is a short flight of steps down through a canopy of Pandunus trees that keeps the surroundings cool during the mid day heat. Lester and Thamara took care of all our needs. The food was exceptional and they were at hand to ensure the adults and kids had a hearty & delicious meal. The kids loved exploring the rocky outcrops which a short walk along the beach took us to, improved on their body boarding skills and frolicked all day long either on the beach or the infinity pool over looking the amazingly landscaped grove of coconut palms. Cant wait to go back again to this fabulous place!!!!
10/10Had a lovely vacation with the family at 3 sisters beach house. The food was excellent, as was the service. The house is beautifully decorated and the upstair family room is highly recommended. The location of the house is elevated with steps leading down to the beach.
10/10The place itself is hidden away and secluded over looking a huge coconut estate. When you follow some steps under the tree canopy, you will find yourself the most wonderful private beach. The staff are super accommodating and yet very respectful of our privacy. The rooms are tastefully done and the loft itself is ideal for a group. The verandah and the pool over looking the sea is what makes it an ideal beach getaway at a very affordable rate.
10/10We stayed at the 3 sisters for 2 nights and 3 days and had an amazing time. The villa is perfect for a getaway with family or friends as you get the whole property to your self. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the villa has lovely seating places outside. The highlight of our stay was the food ; Sanka and Stanley put together some amazing meals ! The portions were large and the food was very tasty. Every meal was presented beautifully with a lovely flower decor as well. Sanka made sure that we were well looked after and all our requests were accommodated. He made sure that our stay was amazing. Would highly recommend this villa for those looking for a quiet and private holiday.
10/10Our family spent a night out at 3 Sisters in Matara - 17/18 September 2022. We had such a fantastic time out there. The location was absolutely stunning, bordering the beach!! Rooms were large and very comfortable. Lots of greenery surrounding the place and a beautiful pool. As with any holiday, food should be of great quality. At 3 Sisters in Matara food was exceptional. Nishantha the chef and Stanly his support are amazing people. Always looking to make our stay better and very obliging. There culinary expertise is beyond words.
10/10We were privileged to visit three sisters for a few days in March 2017. The service was top notch. The food was excellent; they even took the time to explain the food presented at each meal. Everything is clean. The pool is refreshing. The beach is very quiet and beautiful. There is a surfing school nearby but they are not a bother at all and they're time out on the water is usually early in the morning and then during dinner. Besides, it's quite fun to watch everyone enjoy the waves. Further still, if surfing is something you want to take on, this is a great spot for it. Can't recommend this place highly enough. It's a must-see on the southern side of Sri Lanka.
10/10We are a family of 5 who stayed at the 3 Sisters for 4 nights this Summer. A lively place with 2 very attentive staff in Lester and his colleague. We stayed in the Loft Room which comfortably sleeps 5 and was very clean and well maintained. It has 2 large ceiling fans, air con and window shutters for a very good sleep. The villa is in a lovely garden just above the beach and has a great pool in it. You can access the nearly empty beach through a back gate in the garden. The food was fabulous- Lester can doom anything from a very spicey Sri Lankan dish or a western dish for those who want one. Breakfasts were really nice and made for whatever time we wanted. The perfect place if you are looking to relax and wind down for up to a week. One thing to note is that the villa only takes cash - SL Rupees or USD- but Matara town is 3K away and an easy ride by Tuk Tuk and has many cash points.
10/10An absolutely stunning location that offers plenty of space and bags of flavour. Lester and his small team were on hand to ensure that every detail was seen to with loads of care. We settled into our holiday quickly and with ease. The delectable cuisine however is the jewel in the crown. There is a delightful assortment of Sri Lankan favourites that we enjoyed during our stay. The spicy coconut salad (Pol Sambol) goes with just about anything. The villa also offers a generous suite, the loft, which sleeps plenty while our room had its own shower room! Open to the sky and with doors that, when opened, overlooked the garden and ocean as well. A clever feature which adds to the already abundant landscape. Access to the beach below is through a staircase in the garden and a morning sea swim was a perfect prelude to breakfast, which truly appears to be prepared with champions in mind. We arrived following a beautiful but long trek in a rain forrest so our stay here was the perfect tonic for the senses.
