South Point Cottage es una maravillosa casa de vacaciones tropical situada junto al hermoso lago Koggala y a sólo 5 minutos en coche de la playa, en el sur de Sri Lanka. Un sueño hecho realidad para familias o parejas, en busca de una escapada de vacaciones tropical aislado para descansar y relajarse por completo a las impresionantes vistas sobre el lago Koggala.
La habitación principal ocupa todo el primer piso de South Point Cottage y la habitación está unida por dos balcones donde se puede encontrar algo de paz y tranquilidad, leer un libro o simplemente contemplar la vista del lago. La habitación está amueblada con una gran cama king-size de cuatro postes cubierta por un mosquitero blanco para una noche de sueño perfecto. Para su entretenimiento también hay una televisión por satélite con reproductor de DVD y un equipo de música. El cuarto de baño es espacioso y, mientras se enjuaga bajo la ducha de lluvia caliente/fría, puede contemplar las vistas del lago a través de una gran ventana.
La villa alberga otras dos habitaciones con aire acondicionado situadas en la planta baja. La habitación con vistas al lago tiene una gran cama doble y la habitación con vistas al jardín tiene dos camas individuales y una litera, lo que la convierte en la habitación perfecta para los niños. Ambas habitaciones cuentan con baños privados con duchas de lluvia caliente/fría para relajarse después de pasar el día nadando en el lago o en el mar.

El jardín es totalmente tropical y tranquilo, con acceso directo al lago desde un muelle de madera privado, que es un lugar ideal para disfrutar de un desayuno íntimo por la mañana o ver la puesta de sol mientras se comparte una botella de vino blanco. El jardín también cuenta con una piscina en forma de triángulo y un extenso y cuidado césped a la sombra de altísimas palmeras, perfecto para que los niños corran y también ideal para una íntima fiesta en el jardín con deliciosos aperitivos y bebidas. Las tumbonas están colocadas de tal manera que se puede disfrutar de la vista del lago mientras se trabaja en ese bonito bronceado.
El South Point Cottage adopta el dulce estilo de vida tropical con el porche y el jardín como centro común de la villa donde se vive y se cena. El pabellón está rodeado de exuberante vegetación tropical y con vistas al lago. Hay un montón de lugares agradables para sentarse y disfrutar de la vista mágica, mientras que los sorbos de una buena bebida fría. También resulta útil poder vigilar a los niños que juegan en la piscina mientras se lee un libro en la zona de asientos o se disfruta de una comida en la mesa de comedor al aire libre.
El South Point Cottage cuenta con un personal amable que se ocupa de usted, haciendo que su estancia sea aún más placentera. El mantenimiento de la casa se hace por usted, se puede organizar un chef y por la noche hay seguridad para mantenerle a salvo. El gerente está siempre disponible para responder a sus preguntas y atender cualquier petición especial. El personal también puede organizar masajes ayurvédicos en la villa o clases de arte si se solicita.
El South Point Cottage está situado en un tranquilo pueblo rural, rodeado de plantaciones de canela y del lago donde se puede pescar o hacer piragüismo. La playa está a sólo 10 minutos a pie y en los alrededores también hay algunos restaurantes agradables. Para husmear un poco de cultura, visite el Museo Martin Wickramasinghe, donde podrá ver trajes de baile tradicionales, vestimentas, instrumentos, armas y vehículos. Se tardan 15 minutos en llegar al aeropuerto nacional de Koggala y 3,5 horas en coche al aeropuerto internacional de Sri Lanka en Colombo.
10/10We had a wonderful time staying at south point cottage, we had a driver bring us from Kirinda to Koggala. The property manager - Gamini spoke with our driver in the morning and arranged to meet us on the way. we were greeted with fresh juice and moist towels which was a nice touch and introduced to the staff. All staff at the Villa looked after us so well whilst staying at arms length allowing us to feel that we had some privacy whilst we were there. We had several meals whilst we were there and this was some of the best food that we had on our entire trip. Initially we were a little concerned that we had gone a little over the top hiring such a large villa just for two of us, however our time was amazing and we would definitely do it again, and are even discussing when we might return!! We went on the complimentary boat trip on the lake which was good fun and our transfers back to the airport were arranged by Gamini, the driver was excellent and arrived early for us, it was also about $20usd cheaper than arranging through private hire companies etc. Highly recommend the entire experience and we will be returning again. Many thanks to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!!
10/10Stay here. You just must! This is a very peaceful location, away from the tourist crowds of seafront locations. There is plenty of nature to see if you sit and read on the upstairs balcony - monkeys, birds, squirrels and even eagles! We stayed for 4 nights and were looked after beautifully by the staff. We ate delicious food, which was better than any other place we went in Galle, and never wanted for anything. The staff will put you in touch with local tuk tuk drivers who speak excellent english and will act as a tour guide if you wish. We hope to return here some day and make more wonderful memories.
10/10This is a peaceful, relaxing environment and the level of customer service is superb. The staff has an uncanny ability to anticipate your every need and then some. You have the opportunity to do as much or as little as you want. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants somewhere to unwind or get away from it all.
10/10My family spent a relaxing week at the cottage, using the pool, fishing on the lake and the odd visit around the area. Property and staff excellent. If you want a relaxing and peaceful holiday this is the place for you.
