Thank you for your interest in our villas. We look forward to speaking with you!
Named after the sea snail (“muhudu bella”), this quirckily designed one bedroom chalet is located in a perfectly secluded location off the Weligama bay on the south coast of Sri Lanka making it an ideal location for a couple, whether on honeymoon or a romantic getaway.
Villa Muhudu Bella as mentioned before has one one room which is occupied by a large comfortable bed. The bathroom which you walk down into through the spiral staircase is a design inspiration in itself being very creatively decorated with pieces to suit the theme of the ‘sea snail’, and with the piece de résistance being the shower which is at the heart of the spiral.
The chalet doors open onto a large verenda with a wooden canopy which overlooks a hibiscus filled garden and beyond that the stunning Indian Ocean.
As a part of the Earaliya Villas and Gardens, you will find that privacy does not come at the cost of comfort and all the requisite services and amenities will be provided at Villa Muhudu Bella.
Located in a beach town in the southern coast of Sri Lanka, about 45 minutes of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Galle and about 2 hours from the commercial capital of Colombo, Villa Muhudu Bella is in Weligama which is famous for its surfing friendly waves but also for its stunning beaches.
It is with great regret that we only managed to stay here for one night. We stayed in the Bella, and what treat. We had left our previous accomodation as it was not suitable and arrived here very early in the morning. No problem,we sat around the pool ,had a delicious lunch, walked on the beach and was made to feel very welcome. Once our gorgeous room was ready we were given the run down re ordering meals ,as your meals are brought to your room, and served on the lovely patio. We found the staff most obliging and friendly. Loved the decor ,the tropical garden, not to mention the lovely pool with a view over sea. Could have been happy to sit in those bean bags all day.
This place is top class in every way. Class rooms, we stayed in the main villa with a balcony view over the beach. Beautiful food and tastier than any where else I ate in weligama or mirissa. The price of the food is the same as you would pay on a beach front view restaurant but miles tastier. Class staff, always smiling and keeping us amused with local tips. This was a tip top choice place to stay:))
Perfect small hotel in lovely quiet location with lovely pool and fantastic view over beach popular with surfers (glorious sunsets). Rooms well decorated. Meals served on our own terrace beside the pool - dinners good, breakfast not quite as good as other places we stayed, but overall we loved our 4 days here and hope to return.
