Four bedrooms are housed in the main pavilion while two are located adjacent to it. If you’re travelling with kids then these would be ideal since they can be turned into a family suite. The bedrooms are designed with four-poster or double beds or twin beds that are comfortable and swathed with quality linen.
The bedrooms feature individual en-suite bathrooms that are not only modern but features excellent amenities such as shower areas, vanities, etc.
The most luscious green you ever witnessed is right here at Villa Coco Tangalla alongside the beach with the waves crashing on the sandy shores. Peeking through the palm trees that line the periphery, the ocean calls out to you while you relax in the infinity swimming pool. The pool is accompanied by a deck that features several sun loungers under large parasols, an ideal setup for those who wish to take naps, work on their tan, or even enjoy the summer breeze. 10/10It has been such a magical stay! Pure paradise for a couple of days. Everyone has been incredibly friendly and kind. Cannot wait to return ♡
10/10My daugher and I stayed here overnight. As soon as we got there I knew a night wasn't going to be long enough. From the moment we arrived after a long flight, the staff couldn't do enough for us. They arranged to have our dollars changed, asked about our lunch, our dinner, got us a fantastic tuk tuk driver for a tour around, without ever being overly intrusive. The property itself is beautifully done out, furnishings are top class, pillows were very comfortable, as were the beds. The food was top rate, and even though they don't have a licence, there is a complimentary bottle of wine with your meal which was a nice touch. All the rooms are nice, but there is a honeymoon suite with its own private balcony and palm tree in the bathroom which I would love to stay in. The property has a lovely pool in front of the villa in a well tended garden, it is on the beach, but it's a bit rocky, fine to sit and look at the surf. The sound of the ocean is always in the background. Amazing. The owners also own the Last House, which is set on a beautiful stretch of beach. I'd love to stay there too! Highly recommended.
10/10If you are going to be in the region this hotel is highly recommended. The hotel is part of the Manor House Concept group which as I understand consists of colonial time homes converted into high end boutique hotels. We arrived around 6pm and, as requested, were allowed to observe the kitchen as they prepared our rice and curry dinner that evening in an impromptu cooking lesson. The cooks and staff were a friendly bunch and they were happy to discuss everything from Sri Lankan food to culture. It was by the way reassuring to note a standard of hygiene that could easily pass any European sanitation inspection. We were the only guests at the hotel and therefore upgraded to one of the larger rooms. However we also saw the room which we had originally booked in the main house and it was equally nice, just a bit smaller. This is not a luxury hotel, it is a high end boutique hotel and therefore has a certain charm lost in larger properties. No room is the same as the other, always keeping in an elegant theme of local flair mixed with international design influences. The villa is set just of the main coastal road - the only drawback - but the road noise is barely audible. The building sits on top of a multi-level terraced estate that has a generous infinity pool on the second level and finally access to a gorgeous deserted (but rough) beach on the lowest level. Dinner and breakfast were a treat and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and safe. We went out for a turtle watching excursion locally and came back to a significant number of staff awaiting our safe arrival, late at night as it was. This is one of the places that we wished we could have spent a full day lounging by the pool and sea while enjoying their delicious food and exceptional service. Highly recommend for a romantic stay.
10/10We stayed for 6 perfect nights at Coco Tangalla in October, 2015 as we were there for a family wedding at sister property The Last House. Coco Tangalla is a beautiful hotel along a stunning stretch of beach outside of the town of Tangalle. The stretch of beach at the end of the property was too rough for us to swim while we were there but a short walk away there were beaches suitable for swimming. The hotel also has a beautiful infinity pool that looks out over the garden and down to the beach where we spent most of our time. We stayed in the Kundhira room which doesn't have a view but is still a very comfortable and beautifully decorated. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned which provides a great escape from the heat. The hotel is really incredible but what really made our stay so special were the staff. From the moment we arrived the Manager and his wonderful staff made us feel so welcome and couldn't have done more for us. From turning down the beds at night and putting mosquito nets in place, to going into Tangalle for us to buy short eats and beers (there is no alcohol license in the hotel but they will happily go to pick it up for you), to organising a doctor when we needed one and even accompanying us to make sure everything was okay. No request was too much- They even climbed a Palm Tree to cut down fresh coconuts for us to drink when we asked if they had any! They always went above and beyond and we felt utterly spoilt! Coco Tangalla totally exceeded our expectations- we can't wait to come back!

10/10we stayed at Coco Tangalle for one week during our honeymoon and we absolutely loved the place. The staff is super attentative and helpful and they even cook special meals for you if you have a wish (e.g. Lobster). The rooms are very clean (they clean twice a day) and nicely decorated. We warmly recommend this hotel, especially the King Coco room.
