10/10Guava house is a true gem—a perfect getaway to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature. The house is gorgeously designed, with every detail thoughtfully considered to ensure a comfortable and seamless stay. Whether you’re dining indoors or outside under the open sky, the spaces feel very cozy. One side of the house stays naturally cool and fresh throughout the day, and you’re treated to two completely different, equally stunning views. The pool is another highlight—beautifully maintained with just the right temperature, ideal for a refreshing dip at any time. Our meals, prepared by Jeyanthi, were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented—an added touch that made the experience even more special. As a family with a 5-year-old, we found the villa to be just perfect. We took leisurely walks around the property and into the nearby village, which is peaceful and picturesque. While there are certainly opportunities to explore the surrounding area, we were so content that we barely felt the need to venture beyond the villa.
10/10What a slice heaven Guava house is. I was fortunate to spend time over New Years at Guava house with my husband, baby and Mum. Everything from the food to the environment was stunningly breathtaking. We spent days reading, playing games, swimming, exploring the local villages and taking day tours. Guava also serves as a perfect jumping off spot to explore this part of the island and we loved taking day trips to The botanical gardens in Kandy and climbing Adam’s peak. The architecture is spectacular, every part of the house has been considered so there is a beautiful warm breeze, places for shade and lots of different spots for different times of the day so you can enjoy breakfast, yoga, lunch and dinner with different views. Would highly recommend.
10/10I had the great fortune to stay at Guava House for Christmas 2023. On arrival I walked straight into heaven, and wept. I was overwhelmed with joy. It is difficult to find the words to describe the whole experience, but I will try: Serenity with the soundtrack of exotic birds Gentle chanting from the nearby temple 360 degrees of lush plantation The infinity pool reflecting sky and trees and the warmth, yes the warmth. The warmth was visceral. The welcome, the amazing food (thank you Jayanthi!!!), and Guava House itself. Guava House; my new ‘Happy Place’. Guava House is the most breathtaking home I have ever stayed in. Yes, it is a home while you are there. It’s real. It’s design and flow and are so deeply considered. There is a place for every time of the day. A spot to soak in the sounds and scents of the forest and to be at peace. Every brick has been made with love. Every piece of its construction is at home and from its origin. It is quite simply heaven.
