Thank you for your interest in our villas. We look forward to speaking with you!
Casa Heliconia is a gem tucked away in rural Sri Lanka, surrounded by picturesque tropical jungle that envelops the stylish, ornate pavilions of Casa Heliconia. It is the perfect hideaway for couples or families wanting to retreat from the world and simply soak in the beauty of rural Sri Lanka.
There are 2 bedroom pavilions at Casa Heliconia. The first pavilion is the Temple Angkor Pavilion, which fuses the earthy, ancient jungle appeal of Cambodia’s iconic temple with modern amenities for a uniquely luxurious experience. The Temple Angkor Pavilion has a large king sized bed with attached bathroom. It also has its own kitchen and dining terrace, which includes BBQ facilities. The second pavilion is the Pagoda Gold Pavilion, which is smaller than the Temple Angkor Pavilion. It has a king sized bed and attached bathroom, as well as an elegant dining space complete with a beautiful chandelier.
The other two pavilions house the living and relaxation areas. The Pavilion Neapolitan is the ultimate chill out spot, overlooking the infinity pool and the paddy fields yonder. The Doll’s House Pavilion is an air conditioned living space with media entertainment, music and DVD players for entertainment needs.
Everything about this place is incredible. It is 45minutes outside of Colombo and you feel completely at peace in the middle of the forest. The service and staff are great and you feel in total luxury in this 2 room hotel. Each room has a pond and is decorated beautifully. We are still talking about the food. Highly recommend it!
Casa Heliconia was our last stop out of a 7 day trip in Sri Lanka. A boutique hotel nestled in a jungle, quiet and peaceful. We were greeted by friendly staff and were surprised that they had upgraded us to the bigger room Temple Angkor. Nice room, quirky furniture, although a little dark. The awkward part was the shower, which is located outside the room a few steps further from your private terrace... It was raining and quite humid so running off under the rain to have a shower, not so great. The concept is interesting ( you use a coconut shell to get the water out of a big basin) but not so practical when it is raining, no dry space to hang your clothes, I would suggest the Management provides bathrobes at least, this would make the experience far more agreeable. We tried out the ayurvedic masseuse but it wasn't great. The highlight of our stay was the food... the best we had in Sri Lanka. Since we were the only guests in the hotel, the chef cooked us what we wanted to eat, lots of creativity, super tasty food. JUST AMAZING. I would definitely recommend this little B&B for 2 days, for a couple.
We arrived in Colombo and was met by our driver who whisked us away to Casa Heliconia for our one nights stay there. We were met on arrival by Dulanja and Suresh the two gentlemen who were to take care of us during our stay. The room was lovely part outdoor (open patio style), part indoor (the bed was in this section which was air conditioned). The garden is small but lovely with a separate entertainment room called the Doll House which was where the wifi was accessible from. The pool was in another area of the garden and was a delight. Along with a little space where you could have Ayervedic massages rounded out the facilities. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys and the food and service was outstanding. They have only been open 5 months and are still developing but I think it's very promising. Would I recommend a stay there? Yes. Very pleasant and a lovely welcome (for us) to Sri Lanka
Had a lovely time here with my partner. The rooms are very interesting as is the location. We loved the secluded nature. The service was immediate and unobtrusive...thanks boys! We would recommend this to any couple looking to relax and get a feel for a great Sri Lankan boutique hotel.
CasaHeliconia, the next jewel of the Manor House Hotel. We where lucky, to meet the owner of the hotel in his other place called Coco Tangalle. There is no website yet, but it is a highly recommendable insider tipp. It is excentric, this is true, but it is fun. Just for walking around the property we needed 3 hours. Jumping in the pool, playing the drums, taking funny pictures, gaze at the real buffallo, enjoying the extrordinary shower, are just some activities you can spend your time with. Service & food are over the top. Thanks for this perfect hideaway.
