Photos can be deceiving - so we personally do site inspections to filter down and list only the best villas in sunny Sri Lanka.

We inspect all villas, and we do so regularly!

How do you guarantee the quality?

We’ve got background checks covered, the villas listed in our collection are respectively and thoroughly selected. This means they have passed a strict series of standards, are ensured to be well-maintained and are located at prime locations (no noisy constructions next door!). Keep an eye out for the best villas dispersed across UNESCO’s Heritage Town of Galle, secluded Tangalle, the coasts of Dikwella and fortified Sigiriya

How can you guarantee the best price?

Collaborating with the owners of the villas allow us to offer competitive prices. If the rates listed for the villas on our website can be found cheaper elsewhere, let us know and we will beat the rates by refunding the difference!

How come there is no service fee? How do you make money?

No hidden costs, no service fees for our customers! Transparency is our best policy - we don’t charge you for the booking fees. Instead, the villa owners pay us for listing their villas on our website.

Booking process

Can I get some help to decide on my holiday and villa?

You can definitely rely on us for some valid suggestions. Feel free to browse around our dedicated travel guide or personally talk to our team of property consultants, any day or everyday! Whether you’re still planning or already embarking on the trip, our team of villa concierges are available to assist. Need a tour guide, a personal chauffeur, a chef for a garden party, or a spa booking? All you need to do is to give us a call or flick us an email and we’ll gladly sort it out for you.

I am not ready to confirm, can I simply enquire and place an option on a villa?

You can place an option on a villa without charge - neither are confirmations and/or credit card details needed to do so. We have a 3 day grace-period to contemplate, filter down options and finally decide on a property free of charge! Place an option by sending through contact details and travel dates via our website. You will receive a follow-up email within 6 hours.

How do I confirm my booking?

By placing an option on a villa, you will have received a follow-up email within 6 hours. The email consists of instructions on how to secure your booking i.e this requires you to make a payment.

What are the payment terms?

We require a 50% deposit of the total rental price to secure your villa booking. Unless stated otherwise, the remaining 50% of the payment should be disbursed within 60 days of your arrival.

What is the cancellation policy?

All refunds via our website are subject to a US$200 administration fee. Unless stated otherwise, deposited payments are generally non-refundable - nonetheless, we will try to help liaise with the property owners.

What is included in the price of my rental? Do I have to pay more hidden fees or taxes?

You merely pay for the rental of the villa - this may or may not include complimentary breakfast, access to certain facilities, or car rentals. Generally, added services are subject to small added charges. The availability and conditions of which would be listed in the villa’s pages respectively. There are no hidden fees or taxes - transparency is our best policy.

What payment method do you accept? Any specific payment for people in Singapore or Australia?

Credit card payments are perhaps the most general payment method via our website. Cash or cheques payments can also be accepted via our Singapore office. Bank transfers to our local bank accounts (Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany and UK) could be possible - non-USD payments are subject to our bank’s exchange rate of the time and date of the payment.

How do I know that you are trustworthy?

Our company is registered as a Singapore business under ACRA. Our services have worked alongside Emirates, Air France, UOB, Maybank and OCBC. Reviews on Trustpilot as well as media outlets suchlike The Strait Times and TechInAsia have featured us in their press releases and latest news articles. We value our customers, your feedback and truly aim to deliver a seamless experience through our services.

Can I visit one of your office(s) to discuss my booking?

Surely! We have 3 front offices in Singapore, and Bali - come by and discuss your booking in person with us.

Do you really plant a tree for each and every booking made on the website?

Our green-thumbs have planted over 2000 trees - we have committed to plant a tree for every booking made through our website. Stay tuned for more on this project.

Arrival and stay

How do I find the villa? Can you arrange my airport transfer? Is it included?

An airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged to prevent hassle. Our local chauffeurs know the area best, so you need not to worry! It is wise to note that some villa rentals charge small rates for transport services such like these, while others offer complimentarily. You also have the option of taking a cab and locating based on the villa’s address - to overcome language barriers, perhaps having the villa representative’s contact, who could talk directly to the driver, could come in handy. Nevertheless, we strongly suggest you to make use of our airport transfer.

Who will be there at the time of check-in?

The villa’s owner and/or team representative would be present upon your arrival, perhaps alongside a villa manager and a warmly welcoming housekeeping staff to show you around the property.

Who will be there during the stay? What service will I get?

All villas listed provide housekeeping staff and maintenance services.

Is my breakfast included?

Some villas offer complimentary breakfast - either on the first day or throughout your stay - while others do not. Services are tailored specifically to the villa, visit their respective pages to get a more comprehensive list.

What if I want to arrange activities during my stay? What do you recommend I do in Bali?

You can find inspiration for your island travels on our travel blog. We have a blog for each of our villa holiday destinations. On top of that, we have specialized travel consultants and concierges who are also happy to advise and provide you with some insiders tips.

What if I need help during my stay? What if the villa is not as described? What if something doesn't work? Do you have a team on the ground?

Where are you based and how long have you been around?

David and Daniel founded Villa Finder in 2012 after acknowledging the flourishing villa rental business in the tropical island of Bali. At our first anniversary we opened a local customer service post in Seminyak-Bali, the success of which led to the growth of our business across borders. Today, we are a Singapore-based company with a front office in Bali - all together we manage a total of 5 holiday destinations in Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Samui and Phuket.

Who is behind the website?

Taking care of our thoroughly selected listings across 5 top holiday destinations is not an easy task. We manage to do so well with the help of our diverse team of 25 individuals, speaking 8 languages! Our mission to provide our customers with the most beautiful villas, the best customer services and the best rates are sought through by our hands-on team.

Are you part of a larger group?

Villa Finder is our mother company - to add on the list of entities under her care would include rental websites that list villas in Bali, Sri Lanka, Phuket, Samui and Mauritius.
