We loved our stay at Elysium. It was a beautiful quiet place to return to after the chaos of street traffic. Lovely location south of Unawatuna away from tourists. Felt like we had the place to ourselves! Staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem. Food was exceptional! Close to turtle beach.

Hands down, one of our best stays around the world! This will be a very difficult review to write as I’m afraid I won’t find the words to describe the amazing stay we had. This is the most beautiful boutique hotel you will find around Galle. Beautiful decor, art, vibe, feel. We were meant to stay 4 nights, ended up staying 7 nights. We preferred to lose the money at a hotel in Bentota, just to come back here for three more nights. We understand this sounds pretentious, however, this place is so good, we felt was the right move to really finish the holiday on a high note. The rooms are gorgeous, clean and very, very spacious. Beautifully decorated. We stayed two nights at a pool room and the rest of the nights at a beach view room (also with pool access). Both were equally amazing, with direct access to the gorgeous infinity pool, handy outdoor shower, comfortable mattress and pillows.

We stayed as a large group at the Elysium Villa near Galle. The Villa was beautiful, the staff very attentive, the food wonderful and the location was great. Although you can't swim on the beach directly in front of the villa if the waves are big there are areas to swim fairly close by and the beach is beautiful. Each of the villas rooms are in a cottage of their own set in a large garden. Everywhere is beautifully decorated with lots of great touches and places for lounging. The kids bunk room was a very cool place for the kids to hang out. We could not fault the villa or the organization of the villa agency and were certainly go again.

Well.... what can we say ? Others before have written about this magical paradise, which it assuredly is !!! We had a marvellous magical experience - the Elysium experience. Of course, you know it is a beautiful villa in a fabulous location... truly faultless in every way : a garden to die for, everything fastidiously maintained; everything designed to please the eye. But these are the physical things, things which are hugely important to the complete experience, but far from the whole story ! That story is really made by your fabulous team whose smiles and warmth made us so welcome and relaxed and attended to everything we needed (including local medical treatment). We loved the dining experiences, delighting in all the wonderful dishes presented to us in the carefully prepared candle-lit setting of the pool house. One night, we had grilled fish out in the "ocean" house. Judging by their smiles, I think your team got as much pleasure from seeing us so happy, as we did from eating these fabulous meals! Two of them earn special thanks - your cook Kumudu for such wonderful food. And Chatura, who has been our main link with everyone else, because of his excellent English. He, more than anyone, has been responsible for our Sri Lankan experience.... always helpful, always smiling, nothing is too much trouble for him. We can tell that he really KNOWS how to provide top class hospitality ! And, of course, Chamara for arranging everything. We were a BIG party... 10 people + little 7mth Connie, one family - ten days in paradise ! Many thanks ! Dick & Lucy, Oscar & Calandra, Jemma & Jack and Connie, Fred & Kate, Gus & Millie....

I completed this villa in February 2006 and it is lovely to come back and see how it has matured…especially the gardens. Thank you for your hospitality and congratulations to you and your staff on the way the property is maintained and operated : really excellent. Lorraine and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

You will live forever in our memories. The beautiful villa, the "champa" flowers, dinners at the master round table, incredible curries, the many laughs we had while playing in the pool, Chatura's incredible warmth and hospitality (my mother wanted to take him home !), Chamara's brilliant Sri Lankan smile... and then of course the intimate wedding on the beach. Elysium is in a word our definition of paradise. We do hope to come back again and again. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.
