Villa 238 Dutch Bay is een prachtig en charmant tropisch herenhuis direct aan het strand in het prachtige Dutch Bay aan de oostkust van Sri Lanka. Samen met enkele andere vakantiewoningen ligt Villa 238 Dutch Bay in een rustige woonwijk in Trincomalee. Vanaf het achterterras van de villa heeft u direct toegang tot het strand en kunt u zwemmen in de kristalheldere turquoise zee. Wat een klein privé-strandparadijsje is deze villa. Een geweldige plek om wat traditionele Sri Lankaanse cultuur op te snuiven zonder af te zien van moderne gemakken.
Dit luxe strandhuis heeft 3 slaapkamers met airconditioning. De hoofdslaapkamer heeft een kingsize bed en de en-suite badkamer is voorzien van dubbele wastafels en een binnen- en buitendouche met uitzicht over de baai. De tweede slaapkamer is uitgerust met twee eenpersoonsbedden en de derde slaapkamer bevindt zich boven. Deze cabana-stijl slaapkamer is uitgerust met een queen-size tweepersoonsbed en een 40-inch kabel-tv. Kwaliteits beddengoed en handdoeken zijn aanwezig en ook voor toiletartikelen wordt gezorgd.
Het meest verbazingwekkende aan Villa 238 Dutch Bay is dat het directe toegang tot het strand biedt vanaf het achterterras. De tuin is een heerlijke rustige en privé plek waar u kunt zwemmen in het zwembad terwijl u de zeebries inademt en luistert naar het geluid van de zee. Het zwembad is uitgerust met glasvezelverlichting voor degenen die 's avonds willen zwemmen of willen genieten van een sfeervolle avond buiten onder de sterrenhemel. De achterpoort komt uit op een terras met ligbedden, met uitzicht op de baai. Dit is een geweldige plek om te zonnebaden en te chillen met wat vrienden en koude drankjes.
De gezellige woonkamer beschikt over een grote, volledig uitgeruste open keuken en een eettafel. Er is een aparte bank TV kamer met een projector en scherm voor uw vermaak. Een bibliotheek van 1000+ films en TV shows is beschikbaar. Bovendien beschikt Villa 238 over een Playstation 3 met een overvloed aan spelletjes. De villa is prachtig ingericht met teak en mahoniehouten meubels.
U wordt verwelkomd met hartverwarmende Sri Lankaanse gastvrijheid in Villa 238 Dutch Bay. Huishoudelijk personeel komt langs om uw vakantiehuis spic en span te houden en een heerlijk vegetarisch Sri Lankaans ontbijt is bij de prijs inbegrepen. U kunt een privékok vragen om ook de lunch en het diner te bereiden (tegen betaling). De villa beschikt over gratis wifi en free-flow mineraalwater, koffie en thee.
Gelegen aan het strand in de ongerepte Dutch Bay, hoef je helemaal niet te reizen voor een duik in de oceaan. Heerlijk! De omgeving is rustig en residentieel, zodat u een glimp kunt opvangen van het authentieke Sri Lankaanse dorpsleven. In uw privévilla geniet u van volledige privacy en een groot gevoel van afzondering, terwijl buiten het authentieke Sri Lanka op u wacht. Een korte TukTuk rit brengt u naar het bus- en treinstation in Trincomalee. De geklimatiseerde kruidenierswinkel Food City ligt op slechts 10 minuten afstand. Bezoek het historische Fort Frederick met de Koneswaram Hindoetempel en geniet van uw tijd hier aan de kust. Let wel, het regenseizoen aan de oostkust van Sri Lanka is tegenovergesteld aan de zuidkust. De meeste regen valt naar verwachting in november en december.

10/10Me and my family loved the place. It’s beautiful like right out of the travel books. Peaceful, spacious rooms, clean with lot of activities. The caretaker and cooks were amazing and cooked some really delicious meals. The host Kian and Janah are great hosts. Kian helped us in getting additional accommodation for our guests at very economical price plus also recommended local activities. He went out of his way making sure we are comfortable. This was like home away from home. 10/10 we are coming back again soon to this heaven.

10/10We enjoyed Trincomalee very much. And the villa on Dutch Bay was certainly the main reason for the great experience. We were only there for three nights, but we could have stayed much longer. The villa offers plenty of space, spacious rooms, a great garden with pool and privacy directly in a fabulous location. In the morning, you can watch the fishermen pulling in the net together or jump directly into the warm, surprisingly clean water. Also highly recommended with children or especially with children or in a group. Snorkeling at the south end of the bay was a lot of fun (still relatively good reef and a large number of different fish). The dolphin tour from 6 AM to 8 AM, which we did privately for 20,000 LKR, was absolutely worth the money. Dolphins are usually there this time of year. The villa is really great. The breakfast and service are very good.
10/10Great communication with the owners as well as with Kasthuri who is very attentive. Tastefully renovated beach house. It is very nice and gives direct access to a splendid beach. We really enjoyed staying there.
10/10A cozy house right on the beach. Clean room, plunge pool in the courtyard and direct beach access. In the morning, we were able to buy fish from the fishermen for dinner. Breakfast was OK, dinner was very tasty.

10/10This place far exceeded our expectations. It is one of the most magical places I’ve stayed. Right on a beautiful beach with stylish comfortable rooms. It felt like a very private luxuriousp beach house. Kasthuri the housekeeper is delightful and along with her team made us feel both welcome and cared for. We were all very sad to leave and grateful to have found such a wonderful place
10/10This was our favourite place we stayed in Sri Lanka. It's much bigger than it looks in the photos. It has anything you need and more, with empty beach out front. I can't see how anyone would be disappointed staying here, I would happy live at this place forever.
10/10We had a great stay. The property is located directly on the picturesque beach, where you can swim very well. You feel like you are part of the locals, there were few tourists, which we really liked. The breakfast was also good. Communication was also great, we were always helped easily, quickly and proactively, and tips were given. Warm thanks for this unforgettable experience!
10/10Great location, right on the beach with private access. It is a beautiful spot and the family enjoyed their daily swims and walks on the quiet (at this time of the year) beach and watching the fishing boats - we were lucky with excellent weather for this time of the year. The house was clean and well kept and the best equipped paid accomodation during our trip (e.g coffee, complimentary super delicious daily Tamil breakfasts accomodating our dietaries). We were grateful for the aircon in the bedrooms during the sticky / humidity of Thirukoneswaram (even in winter). The old style home has been beautifully preserved and enhanced with a flowing concept across the spaces. Plenty of room for a family of 5 adults. Kasthuri who caretakes the property is excellent - effective, efficient, warm and responsive. Great to see the hosts are working with the local Tamil community to help manage the property. The hosts also communicated well and proactive.
10/10This place is absolutely amazing... in a laidback part of the town, but within minutes you are at shops, restaurants etc. The house is very well suited for a family and well equipped in case you want to do your own cooking. The daily cleaning and breakfast service is also wonderful.
10/10We had an exceptional stay with four adults and two kids. It’s a beautiful house with lots of space and direct access to the beach. It was clean, bright and had everything one could ask for. We much preferred this location in Dutch Bay to the more crowded and touristic Upuveli. Highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Trinco!
10/104 nights in this house, with clean beach in front of where perfect. We had time to relax and the staff (especially Katshuri) took care of everything. No matter the question - she had the answer. Together with her colleague we cooked curries that were amazing. The house is clean, modern and the Wi-Fi is a blast! Highly recommendable!
10/10A great place in an authentic, non-touristy part of Trinco. The back gate opens right onto a lovely beach where the fishermen bring in their catch every morning. Quiet little street out front yet pretty close to the main shopping area. Nearby fish market is great fun in the early morning (we hired 3 scooters for a week from the guy up the road for getting around, but there are plenty of tuktuks nearby.) The apartment is spacious and well-equipped, and the cinema room and plunge pool were a big hit with our group. The breakfasts are very simple and a bit limited, and the room with two singles is a bit tight for two adults (kids probably wouldn’t notice), but apart from that it’s a great place for a group of 6 to get together for a few days. There’s a good, friendly curry house just down the road too and they also do takeaways. The apartment owners, though in Colombo at the time, were very friendly and helpful, and even organised a birthday cake for us. We had a great week. Would highly recommend.
10/10What a perfect way to end our Sri Lankan holiday. The house was perfect and we enjoyed our time here so much. The house is the perfect place to kick back and relax and watch the waves and the locals fish on the beach. Kian & Janah were so helpful from start to finish and Kasthuri was a joy to see every morning when she made us breakfast. We also enjoyed some very tasty dinners. 10/10We live in Sri Lanka and travel around the island frequently. Villa 238 was our favourite getaway! The beach infront is one of Sri Lanka’s hidden gems! The Villa has everything you need and more. Kian and Janah were readily available with any questions we had. Kasthuri the housekeeper was an absolute delight to see every morning whilst she served breakfast and tidied up the outside areas. It you’re after a very chilled, relaxed vacation where you will be left alone to enjoy, this is definitely the place to stay. We can’t wait to come back next year!
