ISHQ Talpe, dat prat gaat op een koloniale, Nederlands geïnspireerde architectuur in combinatie met de sereniteit van de Indische Oceaan aan de overkant van de tuinen, is een prachtig en aangenaam vakantiehuis, een retraite, met prachtige interieurs en buitenfaciliteiten. De villa ligt in Talpe aan de zuidkust van Sri Lanka, op slechts een klein eindje rijden van het iconische Galle Fort. Ishq Talpe heeft vijf spectaculair gedecoreerde en goed ingerichte slaapkamers, met op de oceaan geïnspireerde interieurs met warme tinten blauw, beige, wit en goud. Met kingsize bedden die verbazingwekkend pluche en knus zijn, bieden de slaapkamers het grootste comfort voor gasten. Er staan pluche fauteuils en een tafel aan de zijkant, en de slaapkamers grenzen aan een tuinterras waar je kunt ontspannen en uitrusten met een kopje koffie 's ochtends. Elke slaapkamer heeft een en-suite badkamer die net zo luxueus is met houten vloeren en panelen, dubbele wastafels en een tropische regendouche buiten!
De villa is een waar tropisch paradijs, dicht bij het turkooisblauwe water van de Indische Oceaan, geflankeerd door rijen torenhoge palmbomen. Grenzend aan het strand liggen de weelderig verzorgde villatuinen, die plaats bieden aan een weelderig stuk land. Lounge op de ligstoelen, of neem een duik in het zwembad van de villa, dat is genesteld tussen een patio met verschillende stoelen en lounges. De Nederlands geïnspireerde architectuur heeft witgekalkte zuilen en een dak met dakpannen, die het prachtige blauwe water van het zwembad complementeren.
Ishq Talpe is een thuis weg van huis waar je het comfort, de luxe en het spectaculaire geraffineerde ontwerp zeker zult missen zodra je weggaat. De patio herbergt een aantal maagdelijk witte fauteuils met azuurblauwe kussens die zorgen voor een comfortabele en ontspannende zithoek waar iedereen kan genieten van een aangename tijd in de buitenlucht met de frisse tropische bries en het prachtige landschap. Er is een woonkamer ingericht met pluchen banken, helemaal in het wit, die ook bij het zwembad staan, zodat je optimaal van je omgeving kunt genieten. Een bar aan het zwembad in Amerikaanse stijl is waar je je drankjes kunt halen terwijl je loungt met je vrienden en familie. Op de patio vind je ook een uberluxe eethoek in de buitenlucht, met een eettafel met 14 zitplaatsen onder een overdekte binnenplaats met warme, gele verlichting en groen tropisch gebladerte. Een chef-kok en zijn team staan klaar om je culinaire wensen te vervullen, ze zullen je verblijden met gerechten gemaakt van lokaal geproduceerde, verse ingrediënten. Ze kunnen diners bij het zwembad voor je regelen, of een diner bij kaarslicht naast de oceaan, zoals jij dat wilt!
Ishq Talpe biedt vijfsterrenvoorzieningen, waaronder een persoonlijke chef-kok die een gastronomisch menu serveert, een general manager, butlers, spatherapeuten en een persoonlijke fitnesstrainer. Er zijn plaatselijke wandeltochten beschikbaar naar het UNESCO Galle Fort, dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst staat, Zuid-Aziatische kooklessen, fietstochten enz.
De villa is ideaal gelegen recht tegenover de Indische oceaan, wat niet alleen een mooi uitzicht is, maar ook een kans om de prachtige kust van Sri Lanka echt te verkennen. De historische stad Galle ligt op een steenworp afstand van de villa, dus u kunt zelfs een bezoek brengen aan Galle Fort, en de andere Nederlands-geïnspireerde gebouwen in de stad waarderen.
9.4/10Stayed at Ishq Talpe with a few school friends early March. The villa is beautiful and located virtually on the sea with waves crashing into retaining walls at the far end. The rooms are extremely well appointed, luxurious and well maintained. Nishanta and Rasika took great care of all of us and were on call early morning through late in the evening. The food at the villa was delicious and easily the best we ate in Sri Lanka even after visiting some of the finest restaurants in the area. The swimming pool was clean and not over chlorinated as is often the case. All of the above made for a perfect stay. Kudos to the team and thank you Ishq villa for a memorable stay. I shall return ❤️
10/10Home from home, but with 5* service Ishq Talpe is a serene home from home, my family & I loved our stay there & were very well looked after by Manjula & all the staff. They took great care in looking after a specific meal plan that I was following, they were very accommodating & couldn’t do enough to help us. I would highly recommend Ishq Talpe to families wanting to visit Sri Lanka.
10/10Absolutely gorgeous One of the best luxury villas we have stayed in Sri Lanka. The staff, the food, the attention to detail have all exceeded our expectations. Can’t wait to go back for a longer stay to rewind again. Absolute paradise. The staff put together an amazing bbq for us, on a very short notice, had our Impromptu requests met without any hesitation. We were a group of 10. We Loved everything about the place. The rooms, The pool, the views. Can’t wait to go back.
10/10Stayed with friends for a week at The Ishq- from the moment we walked in, we were blown away with the views, the rooms and the aesthetics. And the service was immaculate, Manjula and his team leave no stone unturned to ensure that we had a great time. The Villa is beautiful and the staff working are what make it even better! Five star ratings all around! Can’t wait to go back!!!
10/10Luxurious and relaxing Our group of 9 had a wonderful 5 day stay at this villa as a Christmas retreat before we headed to Yala National Park. The staff were fantastic: friendly, helpful, discrete and attentive. Food was delicious and the chef happily catered for the 3 Vegans amongst us. Nothing was a bother and no request went unfilled. The Villa itself was immaculate and luxurious. A great pool and gardens and surrounds were inviting and useable. We cannot more highly recommend the Villa and its staff.
10/10Wow, best villa ever! Stayed there for 3 nights and what a truly amazing stay it was. It is brand new - opened in November 2017. The complete renovation was lead by one of the first students of Jeffrey Bauer, so every detail is carefully chosen. The ocean front view is really fantastic. It has 4 large bedrooms and is ideal for extended families of grown ups of friends gatherings. The villa is rented out as a whole, so even if you are just 2, you will have full privacy. It has multiple entertainment areas, we especially liked the gaming room, where you can play board games, read a book from the library collection, watch series on Netflix on Apple TV or have fun with Playstation, Nintendo WII. It's the best equipped villa I've seen in terms of the sound system, as Bose speakers are all over the place, whereas each room has its own iPad to switch between songs easily. There was some construction work done in the next building (should be supposedly finished within a couple of weeks) but we really didn't mind. The food was great - we only had breakfast included, but chose to stay in the retreat to have delicious lunch and dinner. The manager is a former gourmet chef and can make your wishes come true. The staff was very helpful and nice. The beach is wild so you don't have good access straight from the villa, you have to take 3 min walk. Overall highly recommend it - might also be a great place to have a small wedding.
