Gelegen binnen de muren van het historische Galle Fort in de stad Galle, Villa 32 Middle Streets is een uniek vakantiehuis dat u niet alleen laat ervaren hoe het is om binnen muren te wonen die dateren van 400 jaar geleden, maar ook moderne voorzieningen biedt om het u comfortabel te maken. De villa met drie slaapkamers is ideaal gelegen dicht bij de vele bezienswaardigheden van Galle, zoals eetgelegenheden, cafés en het strand van Unawatuna. De villa weerspiegelt een koloniaal verleden dat zo intrinsiek is aan de Sri Lankaanse geschiedenis en u vindt er lokale elementen zoals teakhout en lokale kunstwerken die de ruimtes domineren.
Er zijn drie, goed ingerichte slaapkamers in Villa 32 Middle Street met twee suites die elk twee verdiepingen hebben en de derde kamer die de master bedroom is. De slaapkamers zijn voorzien van airconditioning en een eigen zithoek.
De eerste suite heeft de zithoek op het hoofdniveau, terwijl de loft is ingericht met een tweepersoonsbed en de tweede suite is vergelijkbaar ontworpen, maar met eenpersoonsbedden op de loft. De hoofdslaapkamer heeft zijn eigen alfresco zonnedek met lounge om van het panoramische uitzicht te genieten. Alle drie de slaapkamers hebben een en-suite badkamer met de nodige voorzieningen.
De binnenplaats is waar alle actie is dankzij het vrij-grote zwembad dat rust onder de open hemel. Omgeven door de pure glorie van de villa, zal het zwembad uw nieuwe favoriete plek worden waar u urenlang kunt luieren in gelukzaligheid. Er zijn rotan ligstoelen, outdoor sets, loungebanken op de veranda, evenals een alfresco eethoek, zodat u optimaal kunt genieten van het buitenleven.
De prachtige woonkamer van Villa 32 Middle Street is een lust voor het oog, met houten spanten die het plafond markeren, witgekalkte muren versierd met selectieve kunstwerken, witte banken die tegenover een projectiescherm staan en vleugjes kanariegeel die door de kamer zijn gespat. Dankzij de dubbele louvredeuren blijft de kamer goed verlicht en geventileerd voor een verfrissende en rustige sfeer. Plafondventilatoren houden de woonkamer luchtig terwijl u ontspant met uw geliefden. De koloniaal geïnspireerde architectuur geeft een charmante kwaliteit aan de villa die luxueus en aristocratisch is.
Onder het hoog oprijzende plafond net naast de zitplaatsen bevindt zich ook het eetgedeelte van de villa. Als u in de stemming bent voor een meer formele opstelling, geniet dan van uw diner aan de zes-persoons eettafel met comfortabele stoelen. De keuken is een andere uitstekend ontworpen ruimte met openslaande deuren die naar de binnenplaats leiden. Een antieke servieskast staat tegen de muur en een gecementeerde kast herbergt ook een verscheidenheid aan keramiek. De volledig uitgeruste keuken is alles wat u nodig hebt om uw maaltijden te bereiden en u kunt altijd om een persoonlijke kok vragen.
De villa is volledig bemand, compleet met een villa chef-kok die maar al te graag verzoeken voor maaltijden in te willigen. Er wordt gezorgd voor huishouding en onderhoud, zodat u zorgeloos kunt genieten.
Gelegen in het centrum van alles, heb je alles direct voor de deur, van de historische bezienswaardigheden in de stad tot up and coming boetieks en winkels. Bezoek het Nationaal Museum van Galle voor een lesje geschiedenis of loop door Lighthouse Street voor een verbazingwekkende kennismaking met de 17e-eeuwse Nederlandse architectuur.
10/10Our daughter of her family and the two of us had a relaxed, restful stay at 32 Middle Street. Good cuisine and cake taken to our tray. Very comfortable. We all must do a regular stop whenever we come to Galle.

10/10The end to a wonderful 4 days at this villa. The stay was truly magical with amazing food, top class service by Nirmal and Chef Eranga. The house is so well furnished and the interior decor is stop on and has kept the true history of its Dutch architecture. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to others.
10/10Our family of 3 generations aged from 22 months to 79 years had 2 lovely nights at 32 Middle Street and enjoyed it very much especially the pool and the wonderful food. The staff were very friendly and were amused by the two little boys whom they made a fuss of and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

10/10Awesome Galle Fort style home with well restored original interiors and antiques. The living area is quite open plan and opens out to a superb pool, which they told me was very rare in the Galle Fort, only a few properties have. Location was great for checking out the fort and also very close by tuk to get the surrounding beach towns like Unawatuna and Ahangama. Service was top, food was great, highly recommend!

Set in the heart of the historic forte compound "32 Middle St" is by far an authentic experience. The villa itself is open and spacious blending a modern interior without losing the traditional colonial feel that one would expect to see in the historic galle fort complex. Perfect for a group getaway or just a quiet weekend with someone special. Jayanth and the team make it really hard for you to leave the compound with their fantastic cooking and superb service. If you decide to wander around, the location of the villa is so central to the main streets inside the fort complex. A must for anyone staying in Galle
10/10We've been back at work now for about five weeks and all I can think about is the beautiful house at 32 Middle Street, Galle. The rustic front verandah with its wooden benches and palm trees, the pristine pool surrounded by tropical plants and trees. The spacious lounge and dining room, complete with leather chairs, mood lighting and shuttered doors. Bedrooms with gorgeous heavy wooden furniture, four poster beds and mosquito nets, air-conditioning for the hot nights and airy brushed concrete bathrooms. I could go on! Thanks so much to Kusal, our host, who made our stay so enjoyable. Kusal has been a chef for 15 years and cooked us a Sri Lankan feast on our final night. We even got a detailed cooking class as part of the package. Located right in the middle of the fort, 32 Middle Street is paradise. A quiet refuge in the busy heat of the colonial fort town. Right now, I'm planning my return to 32 Middle Street. We won't be the only ones. Many of the previous visitors have returned again and again. We will be back. Soon.
10/10We have stayed in villas all over the world, but 32 Middle street and its surrounds was our best vacation ever. The house is uncompromising in its stylish decor, comfort and quality. The staff discreet and professional. It was tempting to lounge in the pool and courtyards all day, enjoying delicious meals and napping on the massive outdoor daybed, but our forays to the beaches, ambles through the fort and sundowners on the ramparts all combined to create a stay that was perfect in every way.
10/10Agree with the last reviewer. A lovely oasis in the middle of Galle Fort. Classy and beautifully decorated. Stunning courtyard and friendly and helpful staff. Don't be fooled by the unloved look of the building outside when you approach, as soon as you get inside everything is perfect. If you are afraid of heights you won't like two of the bedrooms though as you need to climb a narrow set of spiral stairs to get into bed.
10/10Lush garden, infinity pool, great food, fabulous art on the walls with all the modern comfort in a fabulous historical house... we stayed there for a week in February and were sad to leave. We can only highly recommended the villa to those seeking the hard-to-get peaceful harmony of vacation in style.
