Absolutely everything! The house is beautiful, well maintained and superbly decorated. The location is perfect, right in front of a magnificent beach where we were almost alone...The waves are quite strong so not recommended for swimming, but the house pool is large and very clean. Moreover, every morning the staff cleaned and took care of the swimming pool. The cook and his assistant live in an adjoining property, but they were very discreet and respectful, while being helpful and available. The food prepared was incredibly delicious! We enjoyed Sri Lankan dishes and were able to make less spicy dishes for our young children. The cook made sure to find fresh fish and produce and his expertise is incredible! We ate exclusively at the house during our 8 night stay! We couldn't have dreamed of a better experience and would like to thank again the two young men who helped make our stay magical (we even received a delicious birthday cake!). The photos and description do not do this beautiful place justice.

We had a fantastic stay at Ranna Beach House! The location is absolutely stunning—right on a quiet, unspoiled beach with incredible sunset views. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was a real highlight—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared every time. The house is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa with family, friends, and kids. The villa is cozy and perfectly located by the ocean, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas. The swimming pool was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly, taking excellent care of us throughout our stay. The meals were delicious, with an amazing breakfast featuring local fruits and eggs cooked to our preference. For dinner, we could choose whatever we liked, and the home-cooked food was always satisfying. The helpers on the villa made our time there truly enjoyable. This is a great place for anyone looking for peace and quiet away from the crowds. However, I do agree with previous comments about the mattresses being a bit old and uncomfortable. It would be great if they could be replaced. Overall, a very enjoyable stay!

The property is absolutely gorgeous. When you enter from the main door you find yourself in front of a big clean pool, surrounded by a curated big garden with palm trees and beach view. You are literally on the beach where nobody walks by, but some local fishermen. The bedrooms are very big, with each it’s own big bathroom. Also, for the whole stay we had a great local butler who stayed at the villa and was always ready to help. He made us breakfast every day. He drove us to do groceries and cooked lunch for us. He booked us restaurants and arranged taxis when we asked for it. Including two masseuses who came to the villa to massage us. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and we wished we stayed longer 🙏

The beach villa allows you to completely wind down. If you book one room, ask for one of the sea side rooms. Better book all 3 rooms to have the villa to yourselves. The beach garden is wonderful and the pool is cool. Furthermore, the food is delicious. Mind you, take enough cash with you so you can buy fresh lobster from the nearby fishermen or have beverages delivered from Ranna village. The lobster was wonderfully prepared by the chef. All in all excellent place! Thank you Kumara, Lasantha & Prasad! You added the magic to this beautiful place!

An amazing and relaxing stay. Would highly recommend if you want a relaxing few days in a beautiful villa with a semi private beach in the background. The setup looks exactly like photo. In addition to the beautiful villa and relaxing nature, the accommodations also features a lovely staff. The service is amazing, with the team popping up just when you need something, but also giving you space so that you are able to relax. The food prices were very reasonable and the chef very talented. We stayed 2 nights and ate there for breakfast lunch and dinner. You can also have your meals whenever you want. One night we had a beautiful bonfire with what felt like all you can eat lobster. Highly recommend, best stay we had in Sri Lanka.

If you have found your way to this review, you’ve made it. I mean you can stop looking for other places to stay and just hope that the house is available the dates you have in mind. In fact, if it isn’t, you should seriously consider changing your vacation plans in accordance with when the house is available. Yes - this place is THAT good. Provided that you don’t mind and even prefer having an entire djungle beach all by yourself - save for some fishermen tending to their nets and other locals enjoying a swim. Okay, there will be monkeys too, and water buffalos if you are lucky, but that is basically it. Oh and of course, the mindblowingly good staff at the house. They provide an experience that is second to none, I dare say. The food the chef cooks up is probably the best you will have as a visitor to Sri Lanka, and very well priced at that. The staff has this discrete manner to them and just seem to materilaze out of thin air when you need something (or sometimes even before you realized there was something you neede help with), yet they are so genuinly warm and will make you feel right at home. We spent 8 days at the house over Christmas and they made it unforgetable - log fire barbeque with fresh caught lobster and fish, dined outside under the palm trees and a full moon, a Christmas tree and even some teddy bears as Christmas gifts for our girls. Unforgetable. We spent several hours playing in the ocean together with the staff, went to the local temple together (picking basically every exotic fruit I know, directly from the trees, along the way), and they even introduced us to cricket (awesome!). Oh and by the way, the house is exactly as nice as it looks, down to every little detail. Even complete with a red tuk-tuk, that will take you whereever you need to go (turtle watching, the local market, etc.). Our sincere thanks to Kumara, Prasad and Prasad, and young Pethum, for the best holiday stay of our lives. We hope to come back again! With love Pernilla, Fredrik, Isabella & Selma
