We are regular visitors to Sri Lanka and have been to South Point Villa few times. Reason for us keep coming back to this magical place is because we find it the best on the South Coast of Sri Lanka. As you enter the premises first thing that strikes you is the 180 degree breathtaking ocean views. Villa is tastefully decorated with antiques, beautiful paintings and local furniture that reflex the Sri Lankan heritage. There are three large bedrooms with all amenities provided, comfort level here is very high, to be precise 5/5. King beds in the rooms are very comfortable and you are sure to get a goodnight’s sleep. Manager, chef and other staff are wonderful, they are kind helpful and efficient, nothing is too much trouble for them. The meals they serve are delicious, all you need to do is let them know what your favourite dishes are. Whether it’s Sri Lankan curries or western dishes they will make it for you and you will love it. Owner and the staff of South Point Villa take customer service and customer satisfaction very seriously. That reflects on everything they provide for you during your stay here. Highlight of our holiday was sitting on the back terrace overlooking the ocean, enjoying a cold beer and watching the amazing sunset and the stilt fishermen in action which is unique to Sri Lanka. Our stay at South Point Villa was memorable so without any hesitation we can recommend this villa for your next holiday and you certainly won’t be disappointed.

A hidden jewel on the beach. This villa exudes old world charm, service and understated comfort which the discerning visitor will appreciate. The staff are friendly and extremely capable. The villa itself has been restored with attention to Dutch-roots and with a nod to subtle, yet current essential holiday additions-WiFi, access to a varied on-site menu, guides to local & accessible services (which can be organised on-site) making this a solid choice. This is not a music thumping, all singing & dancing kind of villa. It is, a classic melody-one that has, and will continue to stand the test of time.

We had a wonderful time staying at south point cottage, we had a driver bring us from Kirinda to Koggala. The property manager - Gamini spoke with our driver in the morning and arranged to meet us on the way. we were greeted with fresh juice and moist towels which was a nice touch and introduced to the staff. All staff at the Villa looked after us so well whilst staying at arms length allowing us to feel that we had some privacy whilst we were there. We had several meals whilst we were there and this was some of the best food that we had on our entire trip. Initially we were a little concerned that we had gone a little over the top hiring such a large villa just for two of us, however our time was amazing and we would definitely do it again, and are even discussing when we might return!! We went on the complimentary boat trip on the lake which was good fun and our transfers back to the airport were arranged by Gamini, the driver was excellent and arrived early for us, it was also about $20usd cheaper than arranging through private hire companies etc. Highly recommend the entire experience and we will be returning again. Many thanks to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!!

This is a peaceful, relaxing environment and the level of customer service is superb. The staff has an uncanny ability to anticipate your every need and then some. You have the opportunity to do as much or as little as you want. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants somewhere to unwind or get away from it all.

My family spent a relaxing week at the cottage, using the pool, fishing on the lake and the odd visit around the area. Property and staff excellent. If you want a relaxing and peaceful holiday this is the place for you.

Stay here. You just must! This is a very peaceful location, away from the tourist crowds of seafront locations. There is plenty of nature to see if you sit and read on the upstairs balcony - monkeys, birds, squirrels and even eagles! We stayed for 4 nights and were looked after beautifully by the staff. We ate delicious food, which was better than any other place we went in Galle, and never wanted for anything. The staff will put you in touch with local tuk tuk drivers who speak excellent english and will act as a tour guide if you wish. We hope to return here some day and make more wonderful memories.
