L'unicità del nome di questa villa rispecchia anche la sua rarezza interna. The Old Lady at The Sea è un'esclusiva villa sul mare da cui vi è un accesso diretto alla spiaggia deserta. In passato, questa villa era un'antica casa olandese con una personalità coloniale. Dopo 300 anni questa casa antica fu ricostruita ed oggi è un enorme coomplesso di 9 stanze che possono ospitare fino a 20 persone.
E' il luogo perfetto per famiglie numerose o gruppi di amici. Le camere sono divise in due aree chiamate Old Lady e Young Lady che condividono la stessa superficie.
La villa ha un patio, un ristorante, una terrazza, un salotto enorme e una camera decorata con antichità orientali. Il suo cortile interno ha un arco con pilastri con vista mare. La Villa è romanticamente ispirata al romanzo di Ernest Hemingway: "Il vecchio e il mare" ed si trova a breve distanza in auto dalle spiaggie di Hikkaduwa e Unawatuna.

The property was immaculately clean and well-maintained, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect balance of rustic charm and modern amenities. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the linens were fresh and soft. The host was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always available to assist with anything we needed. They provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out and offered great local tips on nearby attractions and dining options. The meals served at the bungalow were absolutely delicious, showcasing authentic flavors of the region. Every bite was a treat! Overall, my stay at was nothing short of perfect. 10/10We had an amazing stay at Ivy Beach Villa with our group of 12 people. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The food at the villa's restaurant was absolutely delicious—every meal was a highlight of our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to help with anything we needed. They assisted us with transfers, organized trips, and gave great recommendations on what to do in the city and whom to trust. One of the things we appreciated the most was how safe we felt. We often left doors open, even at night, and never had any issues. Our belongings were completely secure throughout the stay. Overall, we are extremely happy with our experience. The staff played a huge role in making our vacation truly enjoyable, and we are very grateful for their hospitality. Highly recommended!
10/10A great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle with friends and family, very attentive service, it’s clear that the guys are really trying, the cleanest ocean right here, your own pool, excellent cuisine at reasonable prices and very close to Galle and cool beaches, super like!
10/10Our family of 17 had a 14 day stay over Xmas & New Year. The place is fantastic. The staff could not do enough for us. The chef was brilliant and cooked whatever we wanted, at whatever time, far cheaper than we would have paid elsewhere. Siri booked fireworks, masseurs, Mask dancers, and disco for us at The Old Lady itself, also transport etc for days out. Really recommend it.
8.8/10It is a best place where you can getaway with your family and friends. Hotel is located just in front of the beach with amazing view to the ocean. Rooms are really nice and big. Hotel itself is very clean and well managed
