In cingalese, Ambalama significa "luogo di riposo" ed è proprio questo che la Villa offre. Ambalama è una villa sulla spiaggia con vista oceano, a soli 7 km dal centro storico di Galle, che dista circa 10 minuti in macchina.
Ci sono 4 camere da letto in Villa Ambalama, tutte con una magnifica vista sull'oceano. Hanno inoltre un bel terrazzo che permette agli ospiti di godersi la brezza marina. Le camere sono situate su entrambi i lati della villa, preservando la privacy degli ospiti. Le camere sono tutte dotate di aria condizionata e ventilatori e sono arredate con letti a baldacchino. Tre camere da letto sono dotate di letti “king size” e la quarta ha due letti singoli. Ogni camera ha il proprio bagno, due dei quali con doccia esterna.
Villa Ambalama offre ai suoi ospiti tutto il necessario per distendersi e rilassarsi. Secondo i vostri desideri, potrete rilassarvi nel salone o nel gazebo in spiaggia con vista sull'oceano. Oppure rilassarvi al sole sulle sedie a sdraio intorno alla piscina. Per la cena, Villa Ambalama offre diverse piacevoli possibilità. Gli ospiti potranno approfittare del barbecue per gustare i frutti di mare o i piatti locali e internazionali che gli saranno offerti. Ottimi ristoranti si trovano anche a meno di 15 minuti in auto.

8/10Fabulous location, beautiful setting, lovely villa. Very clean, staff is very friendly. The highlight is roshans food. We went out a couple of times but in the end concluded that the food in the villa was the best. He has great hands. Must stay at ambalama. Highly recommend it.
10/10After the marvellous experience of last year,I knew what to expect in terms of the amazing proximity of the sea, the sunset views, the sound of the waves as you fall asleep. The food was excelent in 2014 but has gotten even better I think and the chef is game to execute requests and does so with panache and imagination. We had the good fortune to witness turtles clambering up the beach to lay their eggs. What an experience! The staff were super friendly and remembered us from the first visit, giving an extra glow to the hospitality and service. I cannot imagine a better place to relax in a sophisticated environment, so close to the sea, but with the luxury of respectful and super friendly service. I hope to return before long!

10/10A return visit with my wife a year on but this time accompanied by her mother and aunt. Wow, our fantastic memories from last year didn't fail us. The staff are fantastic, the food amazing, the service impeccable and the location and views.......well, absolutely breathtaking! We were blessed with great weather and had the whole spacious villa to ourselves.
