10/10I’ve been to this beautiful place twice—once with a big group of eight and more recently with a smaller group of four. Both times were amazing. On my most recent trip, we stayed in the Library Suite, which was the perfect space for us. We had our meals out on the beautiful verandah, soaking in the surroundings. The views from the Estate were unbelievably gorgeous—I felt like I was waking up in a dream every morning. You wake up to the sounds of nature, birds chirping away, and everything around you is so lush and fresh—it even smells incredible. We went on a few hikes, which I highly recommend! They were the perfect mix of fun and challenge, with plenty of options to choose from, making planning super easy. On our more relaxed days, we played some of the games they had available and just enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. And the food? So fresh and delicious—I honestly can’t wait to go back.
10/10Had a wonderful stay here, a perfect little bungalow in a beautiful estate, furniture are antique and really adds a warm feeling to this place.
10/10Having just spent 3 nights here I can honestly say this is a dream location. Perched on the side of the hills with views over the plains and beyond this is the most peaceful serene house I have stayed in for a while. The food was amazing and the staff attentive and the tea was from just there!!! Definitely coming back as soon as we can. Many thanks....... Not to mention the fires at night, the hot baths and the most delicious rocket salad from their garden.
10/10We had an unforgettable two-night stay at Haldummulla Estate Bungalow! The place is cozy, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains—a perfect retreat for relaxation. We stayed in the Library Room, which had a charming and peaceful ambiance, making our stay even more special. A huge shoutout to Pria, who went above and beyond to organize everything we needed. From arranging special dinners to preparing delicious breakfasts and snacks, every detail was taken care of with warmth and attentiveness.
9.8/10Haldummulla is a very special place! The location is absolutely stunning, in the mountains, surrounded by the tea plantations. You can sit on the porch and look at the view for hours. Priya cooks fabulous food and she was super helpful during our stay. We visited the Needwood factory and local waterfalls, and did some beautiful hikes from the house with two young kids. Great to unwind for relaxing days in quiet and fresh environment, with lots of interaction with the local community, which we enjoyed a lot.
9.4/10Lovely colonial-style bungalow, in a great location. The tea estate is fantastic, just wandering around and saying hello to the villagers was fun. Lots of walks to do nearby (the descent from Idulgashina station is a beautiful, easy hike, and then walk down through Bathgoda village is great for counting all the different fruit and vegetables being grown). Otherwise, just sit on the verandah and read a book, enjoy the view, or sleep off one of Pria’s excellent meals
