I was delighted to stay at the hotel and thank you for the hospitality and the high-class service. The most beautiful thing about it is the 24/7 cleanliness and the wonderful and distinctive scent of the lobby and the always-fragranced rooms. These are memories that I will cherish forever. Ishq Colombo is beautiful and intimate. Truly a calm oasis in the middle of the bustling city. Service was personalized and attentive. I think we were attended to by Dhanushka. He was lovely. Food was presented beautifully and tasted great. Highly recommended.

A small gem hidden in the suburbs of Columbo, Ishq is one of the few establishments that will form memories that will last a lifetime. The architecture, fixtures and furnishings are of exceptional quality, the refined service, dining arrangements and air of calm are without equal. Ishq is the perfect relaxation location when commencing or ending a trip to Sri Lanka, and not to be missed.

We stayed in this architectural masterpiece. Everything was beyond our expectations, including the fine furnishings, the beautiful garden, sparkling pool, and best of all fantastic service! We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at this accommodation. All were delicious. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan dishes. This boutique hotel is small with only four bedrooms. I enjoyed the intimacy. We stayed in the lower level bedroom that had a view of the pool. There is a master suite above with more room, but we enjoyed being right by the pool. The ambience was wonderful. Mood lighting and sandalwood incense created a calming sanctuary. Would definitely stay again!

Ishq in Colombo was an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, Ashan and the team made us feel so welcome with their incredible personal service. Our suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and super comfortable. It was way beyond our expectations. Everything, from the restful ambience and personal service, made it feel like a private retreat. After a long day of sightseeing, coming back to Ishq felt like coming home. The food was fantastic, and the whole experience was just perfect. The location was ideal too. If you’re looking for luxury, privacy, and top-notch hospitality in Colombo, this is the place to stay. Very beautiful villa in a quiet area away from the bustle of the city. Having said that, it was very easy (and cheap) to get taxis into the city. Butler service was great (nothing was too much trouble), and food was all freshly cooked and delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent our last night in Sri Lanka in this beautiful hotel in the centre of Colombo. Ashan looked after us very well and the room was very clean and comfortable. It is a hidden gem in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. We were headed out for a street food tuk tuk tour so didn’t get to sample the food but the packed breakfast ready for our early departure to the airport was perfect.

We have travelled the world and this haven in Colombo must be up there with the best we have stayed at. The accommodation was perfect, not one luxury was forgotten about…with only four rooms it felt like home away from home with the experience being confided with the level of service excellence from our butler Ashan, all our requests were catered to in a prompt, quiet, charming manner (I wish I could have taken him home). The food was so well presented, delicate, with an emphasis on quality produce and flavour. We wished we could have stayed longer.

A lovely small, quiet hotel. A peaceful neighbourhood (many embassies), and 5 mins walk to Geoffrey Bawa's house (the architect). Attentive staff and good food. Does not have a liquor licence at present, but you can take your own without paying corkage. Would recommend for couples, as there is not too much for children.

Everything about Ishq we loved... From arriving at 4.30am to be greeted by Asanga with his welcome smile... To our lovely room and beautiful courtyard gardens... And delicious food. Asanga continued to be attentive, charming and helpful. The Hotel is beautifully curated..

A serene 4 Suite hotel. Rooms are large and very comfortable. The service by your butler is amazing. The breakfasts have great choice and are delish. The common areas are beautifully appointed. The location is very convenient to to restaurants.

A sophisticated and tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city outside. The Master Suite we stayed in is beautiful and massive with windows lining both sides, a private terrace and butler service. Asanga, our butler, is the epitome of elegant service who graciously accommodated our late night dinner and blindingly early wake up call. There are many places to stay in Colombo. This is a phenomenal boutique hotel. If you want the experience of a home while being steps away from the city, choose Ishq Colombo!

A Tranquil Picture Perfect Villa, yet Warm and Homely in the heart of CMB. You will be in awe as soon as you step inside the villa. It’s done by Architect -Channa Das and being under the practice of the late Mr.Geoffrey Bawa you will feel like nature is a part of you all the time. The GM - Ms. Isabel is a warm woman with a dashing personality who met us and was so helpful. Mr.Asanga the Villa Manager who served and took care of us was astounding and his smile made every moment welcome. The other staff too were very helpful and courteous. Their breakfast is excellent and the coffee a must. We are grateful to Mr. Youssuf for letting this gem of his available to a traveller. Stay here longer and you will feel at home. Master Suite 02 is what we liked the most. We stayed in Master Suite 01 as well. All are good; the corner room is also fabulous and neat for a couple.

I am stunned to find such a beautiful property in the heart of Colombo. I knew from the get-go that there must be some Bawa influence because it had the water, open space, greenery, wood—you could sense the atmosphere. Absolutely gorgeous. Food and service were excellent too.

Magical party venue Ishq villa is an absolutely magical place to host a party, as I recently did. Discreetly tucked away in a busy area of Colombo, its wide wooden doors open on to a tree-lined walk-up - and there's the house! The grounds are beautifully and imaginatively landscaped as a companion to the stunning architecture - all trailing vines and ivy, and immaculately maintained. Adding to its appeal is the staff - Mevantha and Keminda were responsive, friendly, efficient and obliging. All arrangements could be left in their capable hands. I didn't have to do any of the running I would usually for a party of that size. We enjoyed the canapes served up by their in-house chef. I would visit Ishq again in a heartbeat for that seamless indoor/outdoor dreamy ambience - a really unmatchable experience

BEST PLACE IN COLOMBO I am pleased to say that our stay has been excellent and has surpassed all my expectations.The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel and everyone who stayed said the same about the staff. They were very friendly, great attitude, helpful, and always available. The food was amazing and the place is truly breathtaking and cannot believe it’s located in Colombo. The rooms were impeccably clean, and all the facilities were in perfect working order. Thank you for the amazing stay Ishq! Keep up the good work and will for sure visit again.

Besides the property being impeccably designed, the highlight was Vronsky, Keminda and their team. From the moment I stepped in, they made me feel like I was home. Vronsky gave us a detailed tour as to how the property came together and the history behind it which made it even more special. The quality of the food was great but their service and approach trumped it all. Vronsky and Keminda made us some amazing cocktails and mocktails throughout the day and even stayed up entertaining us till all of the guests called it a night. They kept bringing us snacks all the way till 4am with massive smiles on their faces. This to me is the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality.
