The beach house boasts two, well-furnished and minimal bedrooms with deluxe, king-sized beds featuring quality linen. Once assured of a good night's rest, you can begin to truly appreciate the understated beauty of these bedrooms done up in shades of white, brown, and hints of aquamarine. The simple décor goes a long way to provide a homely ambiance, and the even lead to the terrace where you can enjoy the fresh breeze and the sun on your skin.
The bedrooms are adjoined to en-suite bathrooms that are mosaic-tiled, very tropical, and with amenities such as showers, vanities, and organic toiletries.

En Skinny Beach House, lo que más destaca es la estructura, que es un edificio estrecho que alberga dos dormitorios, un salón y un comedor, y un patio exterior con piscina. Con todo lo que se puede necesitar en este espacio limitado, se sabe que se ha aprovechado al máximo el espacio. La piscina de inmersión es ideal para chapotear y refrescarse, incluso si sólo quieres flotar. Siempre puedes ir a la playa de arena y nadar en el agua segura o practicar un deporte acuático como el snorkel. También hay sillas de playa para relajarse y tomar el sol.
La zona de estar se encuentra en la planta baja, con vistas a la playa y a la piscina. Los muebles de la sala de estar, fabricados con materiales naturales locales, son cómodos, bien equipados y elegantes. El estrecho salón cuenta con dos grandes sofás blancos de felpa, paredes encaladas, grandes ventanas con vistas panorámicas e iluminación para cuando se pone el sol. Los frescos interiores complementan el clima tropical del exterior, lo que permite combinar el aire libre con la vida interior.
También hay una zona de comedor para los huéspedes, donde pueden disfrutar de un festín de ofertas de Sri Lanka y el personal puede ayudar a cocinar los platos, ya que incluso hay una cocina totalmente equipada. La cocina tiene su propia barra de cócteles, una máquina de café Nespresso para su dosis matutina y otras comodidades necesarias.
While you're staying at Skinny Beach House, you are in the lap of utmost comfort where you can truly relax letting go of all your worries. Modern comforts such as high-speed internet and wifi, bluetooth speakers, and a 50" TV can be made available to guests. There is a house manager to look after the needs of guests and they can even prepare scrumptious Sri Lankan and international dishes for you upon request!
Dalawella has stunning beaches where guests can opt for water activities like diving and snorkelling. At the beach house, you can even request for excursions and trips to Galle city with its famous Dutch Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - turtle sanctuary, and even go whale-watching.

9/10The location is unrivalled. A perfect skinny strip on one of the country's best beaches. The staff were incredible throughout, from home-cooked meals to Christmas decorating while we were out (a really special touch). The downfalls are minor; window seals are non-existent (presumably due to wood warp in the summer heat) giving easy access to some bugs and road noise, and the deck's wood is rotted/weakened in areas. It was expensive per night given the time of year, but for what we got, it was worth it. We truly had one of our best visits to Sri Lanka (of at least 10) yet, and that's thanks to Skinny Beach House.
10/10Incredible beach house on Dalawella beach! The house is beautifully designed with multiple levels; when you sit at the breakfast table it feels as though the sea is swirling right outside. High ceilings means the house stays cool as the breeze from the sea comes through. From the outside deck the beach is literally at your feet! Soft sand and beautiful clear water. As the beach is away from the main tourist town of Unawatuna, it's much quieter with less tourists - it feels more private. There are only a few restaurants here, though we preferred to make our own lunch omelettes in the house. Bedrooms and living room are comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bed is perfectly soft, we slept so well! Hot water showers that are spacious, and a balcony on the main bedroom overlooking the sea. There's a small plunge pool outside, perfect for a dip after swimming in the sea or lying in the sun. Breakfast is excellent. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast of egg hoppers, string hoppers, dhal, curry and fresh fruits. Good coffee too. Definitely recommend trying it! The house is just a tuk tuk ride away from the lovely Galle town, Unawatuna which has more restaurants and bars, and Weligama for good surfing and a different beach scene. Don't miss this beach house!
