10/10We had the privilege of staying at Ani for 3 nights, and there were only three of us! The place is huge and it could easily host a party for 500 people, so suffice it to say, we had more than enough room. Overall the property is breathtaking, and is so unlike the tiny (and poorly designed) rooms at Amanwella. And incidentally, many of the staff used to work at various Aman properties around the world before that company was taken in a new direction. So Amanjunkies (or former Amanjunkies)--this is the place to be in Sri Lanka, despite the fact that there are several other pretty nice places in the south. I met everyone from the CEO to the GM here and they understand hospitality, or at least the way I like to think of it, and the way that the absolute best places in the world seem to embrace it. Friendly, approachable, personable but highly competent. It's way beyond the Four Seasons or an Aman. The staff are amazing and amazingly friendly; the food is great and the pool. Oh that pool is my absolute favorite in the world! Thank you to Mr. Tim Reynolds for sharing with us your version of hospitality. We were honored to have experienced it. I just hope that we can visit the properties in the DR or Anguilla. Despite that, I do think there are a few areas to improve, but I'm just gonna write the GM a friendly letter and I'm certain he'll say "I agree! That's what we want to do!"
10/10Super kind people and the energy is high !! Love the experionce would love to go back soon everything was breathtaking the view the food the place and how clean is the place . Wanna go every year to recharge our energy !
10/10Bearing in mind that we were hear for an anniversary celebration, and we were a large group, the facility is fantastic. It is not the kind of place for a traveler looking for a cultural or discovery experience, it is more for the traveler looking to switch off in paradise with 5-star facilities at his/her disposal. The facilities are beautifully arranged, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the level of service is superb. The team goes out of their way to solve issues, provide odd services and needs that one might need when on a resort that is far from the city. The food was fresh, with a wide variety of local cuisines and the chef on call would always make an effort to provide us with whatever we felt like having that day even if it was not on the menu. The location was remote enough for privacy, and close enough to the villages to have a walk and meet the locals. The rooms are beautiful, regardless of their location they all have the same layout and facilities. Wifi always worked well, TV's, music, Ipads...etc made the stay more comfortable, especially if you needed to work or keep in touch.
