Capturing the natural setting of Sri Lanka’s southern coast in Kirinda lies the serene villa Nikara Yala near Yala National Park. Offering a five-bedroom villa or a private, one-bedroom villa to guests, this holiday home provides a perfect location to guests for traveling to and from Kirinda’s many sights and sounds. The villa even offers direct beach access to the rocky Nidangala beach which even has splendid granite boulders from where you can catch the gorgeous sunset. The eco-friendly retreat has been curated from reclaimed wood and all natural material for sustainable living.
At Nikara Yala, you have the option of renting out five bedrooms – Deluxe Beach, Deluxe Ocean, and Grand Suite – or you can rent out a private pool villa. The five bedrooms are great for larger group of people, as they can occupy more room and take full advantage of the stunning property along with beach access. The two deluxe beach access bedrooms are on the ground floor of the main pavilion, with a king-sized bed, ample wardrobe space, TV, air-conditioner, and other luxurious amenities.
The grand suite is a single master bedroom on the first floor, with a king-sized bed and 52” flat-screen TV to keep you entertained. This bedroom attaches to a private balcony offering ocean views. The two deluxe ocean view rooms are also found on the first floor with king-sized beds, TV, air-conditioners etc. Each of these five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot/cold showers, bath amenities, etc.
Access to the main house is from the verdant gardens which are flush with towering coconut trees, pineapple trees, blooming frangipani and several other varieties of plants. The beautiful, manicured gardens ensure that guests have a nice time while strolling across the fresh grass laced with morning dew. While you relax on the balconies or the porch to your bedrooms, you can easily gaze at the stunning view outdoors that spans across the lush vegetation and the dazzling water of the ocean. The villa swimming pool is accessible to guests of the deluxe and master suites, as they can enjoy a communal space with the rest of their group.
There are comfortable and well-furnished living areas for guests, found on the porch with plush single-seater sofas and armchairs. These look out to the gardens at Nikara Yala, to give you a pleasant and charming view as you snuggle up with loved ones or with a good book. In the corner, you will find a bar where you can grab drinks to enjoy in the evening along with the fresh evening breeze for a cool and crisp ambiance. Guests also have access to the media room, which has L-shaped sofas with a flat-screen TV.
The property has been landscaped with care in order to infuse the outdoors with indoor living, so you can enjoy the weather and tropical atmosphere even while lounging in these living spaces. To complete the experience, guests can dine alfresco out in the open, to relish the fragrant air while also breathing in the fresh and clean breeze.
Along with the many amenities the villa offers, there are little things like foot massagers, mini bars, and other services that make it worth your while. The staff is generous and knows exactly how to keep you happy. The eco-friendly villa ensures that it only uses resources in an aware and sustainable manner with reclaimed wood, solar energy, and minimum plastic use. The restaurant at the villa offers only locally-produced, fresh, organic food.
Located in Kirinda on the sandy stretch of Nidangala Beach, where you have the famous Nidangala Rock for sunset viewing, guests can do so many fun things in this area. There is the Yala National Park where you can spot leopards or the Bundala National Park, apt for birdwatchers and ornithologists. There is Great Basses Reef, a professional diving site, or you can enjoy a view of the Great Basses Lighthouse from the beach itself!
Lovely place to stay. The room is spacious clean and laid out. Nice terrace outside good to sit outside in the evening having tea coffee or bear. Swimming in the pool and looking over the ocean was truly marvelous and the restaurant and the bar also really good.
Nikara Yala is a wonderful spot on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The hotel and grounds are beautifully presented and the staff a very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with plenty of seafood options and the full board package was generous. We had a wonderful time relaxing here and only wished we could have stayed longer!
