Thank you for your interest in our villas. We look forward to speaking with you!
Situated within the ramparts of Galle Fort, the grand 48 Lighthouse Street exudes a sense of splendour and majesty. An epitome of elegance and luxury, this colonial villa promises to provide vacation makers with an enjoyable and memorable stay.
Push open the antique doors, and you will be greeted with the sight of a series of commodious living spaces connected by towering arches. Ornately furnished, each and every room is adorned with a fine selection of antiques and eye-catching ornaments. Soaring ceilings help create a sense of vast spaciousness within, and the muted colour scheme lends the interiors a touch of classy elegance.
Well-equipped with a plethora of amenities and living spaces, guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a snug spot to settle down at. After a leisurely stroll in the expansive tropical garden, retreat indoors and cool down with a well-made drink at the private bar. In the evenings, curl up in an armchair with a book in the library, or make your way to the outdoor pavilion for an alfresco meal.
When it is time to retire for the night, amble into one of the four capacious bedrooms. Opulent and atmospheric, these charming rooms are bedecked with fine Indian fabrics and tasteful art works. Lay down upon the pillowy poster beds, and you will soon be lulled into deep slumber.
Travellers keen on venturing out will find a variety of charming boutique shops and restaurants in the nearby historical town of Galle. Be sure to take an exploratory stroll along the Fort walls. Do not miss the magical hour of sunset, for it promises to provide a breathtaking sight. Cultural buffs will delight in exploring attractions such as the Dutch Reformed Church and Martin Wickramasinghe Folk Museum Complex.
Our room on the first floor was expansive, well layed out and met all of our expectations in terms of appointment, quality and fit out. the staff were attentive, polite and welcoming without being intrusive We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting an intimate and luxurious stop over in the UNESCO heritage listed Fort area of Gallle
The colonial ambience blew us away... Given the great experience we had, my husband and I thought we should post a review for those travellers who are thinking of making a trip to Galle. So here goes... 1. Location - The villa is centrally located at Lighthouse Street, making all the 'must see' places readily accessible. 2. Hospitality - The staff were absolutely amazing...They ensured that we were always comfortable and tried to get us everything we needed. 3. Room hygiene - Our room and bathroom could not have been cleaner. It was well maintained. 4. Food - The food at the villa was very good. But what needs special mention is the eggs benedict with hollondaise sauce.
This house is stunning - Wow - you have done an amazing job.
Thank you for a fantastic weekend. Enjoyed every bit of the fantastic surroundings and hospitality.
