The garden is just fabulous, overlooking the lake and the beautiful lush green surroundings. The Lake House boasts a spacious outdoor area with a large private infinity swimming pool and a sun deck with lounge beds. The expansive manicured green grass lawn is great for kids to run around on and it's also perfect for BBQ parties and celebrations.
Cooled by natural sea and lake breezes, the architectural design of The Lake House is smart and innovative to be as sustainable as possible. The villa has a sitting room, dining room & kitchen and a games room overlooking the pool and the lake. Kids will love playing table tennis and parents can spoil themselves with pampering treatments at the on-site massage pavilion. The Lake House is equipped with Bose sound system that you can control from your smartphone or laptop. There are comfortable sofas to chill out on and there is a large teak wood dining table as well as other options to sit and enjoy an intimate breakfast with lake views.

The Lake House se encuentra en el lago Koggala, cerca de la ciudad de Galle. Cerca de la villa hay muchas playas preciosas, como la famosa playa de Mirissa, donde se pueden hacer excursiones para avistar ballenas. Se puede practicar surf, buceo y submarinismo, visitar parques nacionales para avistar animales salvajes y pasear por la hermosa ciudad histórica de Galle. Hay plantaciones de té y canela, y se tarda unas dos horas en llegar al aeropuerto de Colombo.
10/10This is perhaps the nicest place you will find in this area. I’ve spend one week at the lake house and been absolutely blown away by this villa. Stunning design, very quiet, amazing location, absolutely perfect if you are looking for peaceful and spacious space for yourself and your family. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful from the moment I arrived to the airport in Colombo. Every question was replied within short time and the host was very proactive in making my stay smooth. I’ve been given amazing recommendations for nearby attractions and felt at home through out my stay. The food that’s been offered was delicious and I’ve enjoyed every meal. All in all I would say that this was the most special place I ever visited and would come back for even longer stay.
10/10We stayed 2 weeks there, like at the luxury hotel! Super friendly service, so attentive, helpful and caring all. No matter what we ordered from the poached egg for breakfast, crawfish lunch, English tea with homemade cakes at 16.00, cool drinks for sundowner, international or Indian dinner. 2 tuk tuks drove us to the beach or funny excursions, all perfectly planned by Ranga and discussed with us. I would have loved to stay longer.
10/10We stayed at the lake house with a family of 5 and absolutely loved our stay! The location of the house is perfect, with a calming view on the lake, and Galle and other beaches of the south coast being right around the corner. The house is very open with comfortable and tasteful design. Most of all, you will not find a better team to take care of you. The house manager makes everything possible, the chef is amazing and everyone is very friendly. Highly recommend a stay.
10/10The Lakehouse is a stylish and most elegant building situated quietly and directly at the lake although in close reach to the beaches and the beautiful old town Galle. The helpful staff is second to none, the chef serves superb food, he fulfills every dietary request. The furniture is most elegant and represents the taste of the modern world combining London with Sri Lanka. We returned to the Lakehouse already 3 times, which should underline what a special and extraordinary place it is. The staff is very helpful with organising trips to eg the rainforest, Galle, beaches, tea-plantations
10/10We stayed for two weeks at the Lake House last January, and loved every moment. The house was designed and built by a leading London architect about 10 years ago. The site was carefully selected above Lake Koggala, set in a secluded forested area and just a short tuk tuk ride from the beaches and historic local town of Galle. The design successfully harnesses the cooling breeze that comes off the lake at the end of the garden, and it is rare that the fans are needed. No part of the house is sealed off from natural ventilation. We lived very comfortably without the need for air conditioning. The staff are amazing, and the food from the Lake House kitchen was delicious.
10/10We booked The Lake House for 6 nights to celebrate my husband's birthday. The stay was absolutely amazing. Ranga and the guys were so friendly and they did a fantastic job. We and our guests loved every minute. The birthday BBQ was a wonderful event, with the food, drinks, cake and fireworks all making it a very special day. All of our meals were delicious with lovely fresh ingredients. The house was kept immaculate, our laundry was always done to a high standard, and any extra requests we had were met. Not only did Ranga help those of us who were staying at the Lake House, he was also so helpful to many of our friends staying at other accommodation- organising them transport, meals etc. In general it was a wonderful stay, we will be back.
10/10This is an exceptionally lovely property set in a tranquil position, set back from the lake, with views to die for. Beautifully presented and spotless, the rooms are a delight to behold all with showers, some outdoors. Staff and food are beyond reproach and the house manager can organise anything required including outside of the immediate house. The Lake House comes highly recommended and if a large party there is more than sufficient space not to feel at all cramped! ONE NOT TO BE MISSED.
10/10We went here for a few days to celebrate a milestone birthday. The celebration was spectacular. The garden which borders the lake was lit with candles - a heart in the middle had our table inside. We feasted on lobster and champagne and then had a fireworks display. We had brought a cake which we shared with the staff. It was completely amazing. The rest of the stay too was exceptional in spite of a lot of cloud! I cannot recommend this house enough. And the owner could not have been more helpful. A totally wonderful experience.
