9.8/10We had such a great 5 night stay at the villa. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room to spare! (Literally 2 spare rooms) The villa itself is beautiful and well appointed and all of the bedrooms are stylish and comfortable with lovely en suites. Mr Warne and his team are eager to please - a super friendly environment with good service and lovely food. The Sri Lankan curries were incredible! The villa is a 10 minute walk to the beach where there is a small beach house and a swimmable area of beach, but not a major beach at all...just somewhere to go for a dip. Not far by tuktuk to a larger better beach (Dalawella beach is about 10 mins away and has safe swimming and a couple of places to eat - turtles come in behind the reef most days and you can swim with them which is awesome) The villa is surrounded by jungle and you get a feeling of seclusion and privacy which is nice. Loads of monkeys and monitor lizards lurking in the beautiful and extremely well kept gardens - our 4 year old loved all the nature! Great and sizeable swimming pool which we all loved. All in all we had a fantastic stay. Only consideration is the Mosquitos - there is a lovely pond in the inner courtyard which is a bit of a draw for mossies. Don't hesitate to book this villa as it's lovely and luxurious, but load up on the anti mosquito spray! Food is extra but worth working out how you're going to eat when you get there so you know where you stand. Personally I would prefer the cooking to be included as we only went out for dinner once and most of the other villas seem to work on a full board basis. Not a deal breaker, just something to think about. Thank you to everyone at the JH Villa for our wonderful stay - we wouldn't hesitate to visit again x
